Quite surprised how bad people think Ramsdale is. Is it just because of the optics about him saying he can't concentrate? Admittedly that's bad.

I know we've always overrated Dubravka but he could never play for Arsenal or England.

I've watched him plenty. Not good enough for teams fighting for relegation. Knew his move to Arsenal would be a failure. They didn't wait long to replace him.

Im worried sick cos if Pope is injured and Dubs picks up a knock and the greek fella is injured we only have another 4 keepers to choose from I think we need to make Ramsdale a priority.

How is Pope done like? He was perfectly fine just a couple of months ago at the end of the season, but all of a sudden he's done?

And Ramsdale isn't shit, it's uninspiring I'll give you that, but he's not shit, and was pretty solid for Arsenal for a few years.

Pope is not done, some people are have just been driven insane by this transfer window. Not that I blame them.

Pope is a very good keeper, with a weakness in passing.

We're clearly not bothering with a proper keeper signing now Trafford has gone elsewhere (hopefully that means spending elsewhere instead). In that case I'd personally rather have him in our squad than Dubravka.

It's more the optics of this deal in light of all our other business. And the fact as to why we don't have any other potential goalkeeper signings at all once Trafford pied us off.

Arsenal couldn’t replace him quick enough. Conceded most goals in league last season. He’s not an upgrade on Pope in any shape or form

Seems like we just believed Trafford was on his way here since last year. We probably do have others on the shortlist but maybe we don't have the personnel to sign them or as much confidence they will succeed, so buy another season to plan. I guess.

It's not great but Pope is still good.

Howe knows Ramsdale well as bought him for Bournemouth so maybe thinks can get him going again, wouldn't get against Howe transforming him.

At same time maybe keeping money back as couldn't get first choice keeper plus money to strengthen elsewhere.

Howay, Southampton could have had Lev Yashin and Buffon in goal at the same time last season and they would have still conceded more than anybody else.
