Let in a goal when he was playing for Arsenal because he was watching a pigeon on the pitch apparently

If that's true count me in , just for the pure comedy value of having a keeper point at an aeroplane as the ball sails into his net

Makes absolutely zero sense for Southampton to loan him out if the buy option isn't guaranteed.

Probably have something stinky like plays 5 league games and it's permanent. So a Pope injury and we're forced to sign.

If it's a loan with option, you'd also presume this goes alongside shipping out Dubravka and Vlach. In which case, I think it's a smart move. Probably improves our backup goalkeeping situation and potentially Ramsdale is stiffer competition for Pope - i.e. he has some ability with his feet.

He is calamity waiting to happen.

Loan to buy? Why are we doing desperate transfer deadline day deals on the 28th July? We've enough time to look for better elseware like.

Loan with option to buy is absolutely fine.

Aye. Significant upgrade on Dubravka. Run with Pope as No.1 for another season then reassess.

The first post-Ashely signing (assuming it happens) that I'm genuinely really disappointed by. He's always looked totally bang average to me and the fact he's been relegated a number of times reinforces that. The fact he seems a bit of a space cadet off the pitch lessens my desire to sign him even more.

He's had a shot at a big club in Arsenal and showed he's not made for that stage. I'm a bit baffled as to what they've seen,

And people say that Eddie Howe doesn’t have too much influence on transfers.

Buying Ramsdale is an absolute waste of fucking money, we already have 2 keepers at the club better than him.

Howe needs to cut out the ex-Bournemouth player loyalty.
