Except he wasn't chucking anything in.  He had some weak games but never made the huge mistakes Pope has made repeatedly.

I do think we should be looking for a top keeper though.  Despite the fact Ramsdale is better than Pope.  We should be looking for someone of a really high level.

He had a 40 odd percent save percentage (which Pope

now has 😳) and was regularly getting shit for letting in soft goals.
He was also glued to his line or on the spot.

Just because he wasn’t making comedy caper howlers like Pope. Doesn’t mean he wasn’t waving weak shots into the net.

Reporting for duty. 6’2” at most if you ask my very uneducated opinion.

Big Joe is reportedly 6’1”. Ramsdale looks a good couple of inches taller than him. Confusingly though, Osula is supposedly 6’4” and Ramsdale looks at least as tall as him too!

I feel like you can see him becoming more confident with each game. He was claiming a lot of crosses which was something we've not seen from him before, and it was the best i've seen him command his box too.

I think since the fuck up at the end of the Bournemouth cup game, we're seeing the keeper we thought we were signing. A bit erratic, good with his feet, decent shot-stopper. Wouldn't buy him still but he's serviceable at least.

I thought he was very good 2-3 times he got us up the pitch with some pinpoint long passing. Much better if we are going to sit deep, too. As he becomes an extra option along the defensive line.

I still shit myself when it goes near the box, mind. Came for a few crosses well. But was also rooted to his line when he had all day to come and claim it.

Not that Pope has inspired confidence very often this season. Ramsdale has cemented himself as number one now, for sure.

That 3rd goal was totally on Botman, not Ramsdale

Did all the basics well today and didn't make any huge fuck ups. He's done that a fair few times and still ended up conceding so I'm pleased he posted a clean sheet, it was really well deserved.

Good performance again today and his confidence is growing each game

Great to see. So comfortable with the ball at his feet. Takes the pressure off the defenders.

Big weakness during his first run in the team was his ability to deal with high balls into the six yard box. Seems a lot more confident claiming those now.

Wouldn’t be opposed to us doing a deal for him in the summer and having him as competition for whoever replaces Pope.

If we can sign him for circa £10m, and he's happy to be a backup, while we also sign a proper #1, I think i'd be fine with that, anything more and it'd say it was bad business, you shouldn't be spending £20m on a backup.

I agree. But the supposed option that is part of the loan deal is rumoured to

be double that and he is supposed to

be on massive wages.

I can’t see us paying £20m and paying £100k a week plus for someone who probably wouldn’t be our number one next season.

As a dedicated member of the Ramsdale Hate Club I have to admit he's been much better the last couple weeks. He's made some good stops and his comfort on the ball is a huge help. I hope he can continue this for the rest of the season and I also hope we don't get any ideas about retaining him.

Should we not keep him and peddle Pope?

Surely prime time for the inevitable move up to Celtic.

They’d certainly worship him up there.
