What people were concerned about was that he hasn’t looked anywhere close to the same player as 22/23, before he had his run of bad injuries. If a Villa fan wanted to level same accusation against Ramsey, then OK (I wasn’t watching him closely enough to know), but his injury record last season was fine. You can’t say Ramsey was fine last season and Willock was not great, but OK, when Willock missed 5 and Ramsey missed 10. It would be reasonable to say Ramsey’s record was better last season than the year before, but I don’t think that’s saying much in the grand scheme. If you want to put a negative spin on it you say Ramsey missed 10 compared to Willock’s 5. If you want to put a positive spin on it, you say Ramsey played 46 compared to Willock’s 41. Anyway, I personally think Willock will be alright going forward injury-wise (accept others disagree), it’s what the injuries may or may not have taken away from him that’s the concern. Ilovetoon8788
What's so surprising. His injury record is abysmal and wasted no time to get into the treatment table. He and willock are unreliable long term.

Just different opinions and time will tell. Hope I’m wrong about Ramsey and he’s correct, as that’s the better outcome for the club, which is what we all want. Jewel
Instead of wasting 40m on this guy, we should have got Frattesi or BEK instead. And it's not hindsight either because a lot of us did question this signing. Just like a lot of us questioned the signing of Anthony Elanga, who I believe is going to become the first big money flop since our Saudi takeover. Obviously, I hope I'm wrong and they both have stellar careers with us, but the early signs are not good.

This summer was salvaged in terms of filling positions, but it looked scattergun and jury is out on whether the bar has been raised in first 11. Lush Vlad
Are all football forums filled with ‘I told you so’ types. Who trip over themselves to slap themselves on the back and let everyone know that they were right with their opinion. Usually prematurely or based on incomplete information, a small sample, a bad game or two, an injury etc. Or is it just this place? ‘I hope I’m wrong. I really do’…… I don’t. I just have to put that qualification in like all the other negative bellends on here. Who also come across like they’d rather be right with their alleged initial assessment. Than actually be proven wrong. Anyway. Ramsey. What a waste of money. Injured again. I knew that he’d get crunched by a bad tackle and do his ankle straight away. AyeDubbleYoo
I know I say this all the time and it's utter woke nonsense, but this is the time for us to relax and enjoy NUFC and everyone who plays for us. Minhosa
Gutted he’s picked up this injury. Massive shame for him and us. Given his history, we’ll need to reintegrate him carefully. He’s the summer signing I was really excited to see, particularly against the likes of Bradford to get him some momentum here.

While I am really happy with how he's looked in his brief appearances, I was a bit dubious about his signing just because of his spotty injury record. In that regard, this one doesn't inspire a bunch of confidence. I really hope it was just bad luck though, he will be brilliant for us if he can stay fit. We desperately need a midfielder who can break into the box, especially with a striker like Woltemade to feed off.

I agree, although I was most excited about Wolt. In fairness, Wolt, Ramsey and Thiaw are all really good technically but Ramsey’s ability to match technique with athleticism is something we are missing and will add a huge amount to our forward play

I think Howe and Bunce have probably rolled the dice thinking they’re smart enough to manage his availability. I hope they can because he could be brilliant as you say. Strange from someone with multiple daily forum posts I know I actually thought along those lines when I perused the Bradford forum after the game and listened to their managers post-match interview. Whilst, like any set of fans, they had some level of gripes and certain things their own team had done, but the general consensus was ‘they were just miles too good for us’. And they themselves are hardly a non-league team, they may be in the Championship next season. Amongst all the noise that comes with football these days, it’s sometimes nice to remember we’re actually a watching an extremely high-level team every week, regardless of individual match performances.
