60m sounds a lot but it's probably no more than about 5-10m too much.

40m feels like a bargain and 50m still decent, for someone who has scored goals in the PL.

I don't think it's the best possible signing but it's number 7 or so on the list.

As long as we get full whack for Isak it's not bad. If we start folding at £120-130m for him then it's poor.

Minus whatever the loan fee was did they really just pay £23m for him in the summer?

Wow I know its late in the window and issues of who comes in to replace him but 37m profit is crazy.

Its lloyd Kelly level good business.

They just signed him for half.

Jørgen Strand Larsen initially joined Wolves from Celta Vigo on an initial loan deal in 2024 for an initial loan fee of £2.5 million (€3 million). This loan included an option to buy for £23 million (€27 million), which was automatically triggered and made the move permanent in July 2025 after he met certain appearances clauses during the 2024/25 season.

I don't know if I've ever known a saga(s) to be so defined by this concept of a chain. I guess it's a sign of the times, where most Premier League squads have just one striker who is very much defined as the first choice. Selling that player therefore represents a massive risk and inflates their value.

You wondered if Outtara might break the logjam, in that Brentford were gaining a striker but Bournemouth weren't losing one. However that logic turned out to be false. Jackson could've been the domino, seeing as he's expendable to Chelsea, but I think a team like us holds out until the deadline, where his price will presumably be lowest.

So, if you're targeting PL strikers, you have to engage in a chain which must start with a very willing seller, probably from a less cash-rich league. Hopefully Wolves can dig someone up from Belgium and we can get Larsen.

Ignoring the price tag I feel like he's the perfect mould of second striker that we've been calling out for. Even with Isak in the team so many cut backs and crosses were calling out for a big man with good positioning and aerial ability. Of course It's been even more evident the last couple games.

I'm hoping we don't sell Isak if JSL is our only signing.

Putting massive pressure on him if we did.

Even if we had plans to spend any Isak fee in January, we’d be gambling on him not picking up an injury between now and then. Mind you, we gambled on that at CB last season and it turned out OK, but still.

I half-watched a couple of Wolves games last season as I was sat on the sofa listening to 110-120bpm chuggy techno and the telly was only on as a mild visual distraction

And this lad caught my eye, he looked like he was decent

And that's all I have to say about that

If this gets done at ~£60m then yes, we've 'overpaid' and will likely be mocked by fans of other clubs as a result of the previous failures and our seeming desperation at this point.

That said, I genuinely think he'll be a brilliant fit for the way we play and will score plenty in this team.

It's not my money so I don't give a fuck how much he or anyone else costs. Hell, if we can pay Matt Targett half a million quid a week this fella looks like smart business at £60m.
