This has to be one of the most frustrating windows for a number of reasons. At this stage I will be happy with a couple of unknown's minimal risks from abroad. As much as I would want Osula to come good nothing so far suggests he would be anything more that a third choice to use in cups or in extreme emergencies. joeyt Posted August 28, 2025 Share Posted August 28, 2025 I think another issue is that the Championship are not producing the strikers they have previously and therefore clubs like Wolves and Brentford can't look there anymore to replace their star players In the past there's been a decent amount of strikers in the lower leagues that may be able to make the step up. I'm struggling to think of any that are viable for those clubs at the moment. The likes of Josh Sargent and Adam Armstrong aren't going to provide the goals needed for mid to lower Prem clubs It means they have to go abroad which can bring about it's own risks but also opens up bigger foreign or domestic clubs to take their targets Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

The market we’d ideally be looking in for our 12 month bedding in purchases are already being drained by bottom half of PL teams offering lots of game time and quite often starting game time.
