Would love to go big on Emegha but do fear it would be another to add to the "REJECTED NUFC" list.

This. We have zero chance of buying a decent striker from the Premier League at this stage. We need to take a punt on a striker in Europe (Openda and Emegha would be ideal).

Emegha might be complicated by the fact he plays for Strasbourg, a BlueCo group club, so we'd be essentially negotiating with Chelsea who are no doubt hoping to sign him on the cheap later down the line.

Come on  still 4 days. Apparently I’m the misery but I just can’t believe they’d leave Howe without a striker even if we have to do a loan. Believe

But who is available to loan? There just isn't a good market to shop from

Don't think it's OTT at all to suggest we're probably done now if we're definitively priced out of Wissa and Larsen

Who do you propose? Given that, from the sounds of things, everyone involved in the process has been asked to go above and beyond their usual roles/responsibilities.

I love a scapegoat so I'm going to propose... Steve Nickson.

Your time is up, Steve.

Anyone know where we go from here? I still think it’ll be all on Wissa. I wouldn’t mind bidding £60m for Ramos or Watkins. Gonna be very difficult getting any top striker now. 4 days to save the season

Have Wolves done anything that's evidently invited talks, though? All I've seen is us desperately throw bids in after scrabbling further and further down our target list. Now after three bids they appear to have all but told us to fuck off.

There seems to be one constant in all of these negotiations and it's us throwing bid after bid in, wasting weeks on a player before being told to kick rocks in some form or other.

Feels like almost 4 years on from the takeover, we've somehow ended up with less transfer contacts to know who we actually have a shot at than we started with.

Who knows but reports suggested talks were promising? So there must have been discussions to lead to the bids?
