KaKa Posted May 10 Share Posted May 10 (edited) Well, unlike most on here it seems, I liked a lot of that Joelinton has looked great on the left. Love the double pivot of Bruno and Tonali, which has taken some of the build up responsibility off Tonali, and defensively has done a better job of covering that wretched gap that always exists in front of the defence. Osula continues to look bright. And just needs to continue to work on being a bit more composed in certain situations. Love the gaps Woltemade is starting to pop up in and he really just needs to be a lot quicker and decisive with his actions. Won't happen if he isn't given more of run in this setup though. Unfortunately Hall has to keep coming inside on that right side and so can't give proper width and Burn on the left is just not a full back. One thing I've noticed today as well is how little we utilise our centre backs to recycle the play when we're in their final third. We get it in there and it's shit or bust, often trying a daft pass when it should be rolled back to a centre back who has created an out ball angle. We were in control for most of the half and had at least one crystal clear chance that we created ourselves. He's had nothing all game and still put a few fantastic balls into the box that we easily could have scored from early on. So to say he offers nothing going forward, when He's created more opportunities than Woltemade is daft, and I'm a Woltemade fan myself. He's drifted out of the game later on, so has almost everyone. But you're right that some people have certain players to blame no matter how many are actually to blame. Including you with Murphy. The big question is will Eddie Howe get some balls and make changes at half time or will he hide behind the fact we aren't losing like he always does? Bruno diddling with the ball instead of making obvious early passes. Woltemade done well to set up Osula but otherwise losing the ball too much. Murphy went off for a drink after the first 10 minutes and haven't been seen since. Hall ineffective from RB. Can see Burn is playing thanks to his height, but hasn't done much other than being dragged along by Bakwa. Pope popey poping. Tonali a lot of running, little ofa nothinga otherwise. I like Big Nick.W, as i like the 4-4-1-1 which would suit him, and i hope with stick with it and him, and give him time to get back into form from playing time.
