Lush Vlad
Keepers getting a stupid amount of protection from refs. They can come out using their hands so have an advantage and effectively have a greater chance of reaching the ball. Can clatter into you with their knees or punch you in the face going for the ball and nowt is done. But if you dare challenge for a ball with a keeper then it's more than likely a foul. Agreed. keepers think they should have a free space to run and claim the ball mid flight. Like no one should be allowed to challenge them.
Lush Vlad
We scored a perfectly good goal in a semi final recently. Keeper took a long kick from our own half. Pardew style funnily enough it got caught in the wind and the keeper misjudged it. Our player was going for a header and at most, made slight contact with his arm whilst jumping for the ball. Both had eyes on the ball, barely even a coming together, both just jumping in the same vicinity. Looked as if the ref had given the goal. All of their players were having a pop at the keeper and walking back for kick off. Ref gave a foul. Would have made it 3-1 going into HT. We lost 3-2 AET. I play at an absolute jimmy league level and the protection keepers get appears to be right from the top, down to amateur leagues.
NG32
Not sure why they get so much protection, the amount of times keepers come for balls and spill them is unreal. Refs killing goal scoring chances.
AyeDubbleYoo
I've never experienced it in amateur football, but definitely in the PL.
Ste
Defending players standing on the edge of their own box watching a penalty with their hands on their hips and no intention of following in. Also players making a standing start runs, why not step back 5 yards and time your run to the penalty takers. You'll be the only player moving forward at pace when it's struck. Seeing as most pens are placed and the taker kind of stops as he takes it. Are players banned from stuttering their runs? Guess they're thinking if they time it wrong there's a retake anyways. Defending players should be ready to follow in as the attacking side usually are. I'd say the majority of the time the ball doesn't come back into the danger area but still. You can stutter your run but you're not allowed to stop, this is one of those in the ref's opinion things.
Neil
Any dreary 0-0 at half time between good teams being described, usually by ITV, as "fascinating" or "intriguing". Long balls from the "top" teams suddenly becomes "direct play" as well.

Dave
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26235967 Uefa's rules prevent top-flight sides playing domestic fixtures on the same night as its premier club tournament. Pilko
"Well if that's not a penalty then it has to be a yellow card for diving!" Err, not really. If the forward legitimately slips over and loses their footing, or the defender legitimately manages to muscle the player out in a legal shoulder-to-shoulder challenge and the forward goes down, then it's neither a yellow or a pen, is it? Also, the ref has to be sure right? He can be both unsure whether it was a foul or a dive, in which case he should give nothing.

Hughesy
I really find irritating that whenever there is a spitting incident in football, immediately people will say 'I'd much rather be punched than spat at'. Neither action is acceptable, but it strikes me as some sort of fake macho stance to immediately trot this line out.
