Si
Tbf I have a lot of respect for what he did and hope that he/others continue to do it. Fortunately he is a unique looking bloke. Fixed.
Wallsendmag
The man deserves nothing but praise. Got more balls than the lot of you combined so you sit behind your keyboards and make fun of him. Is this RTG or newcastle-online? Should be people making him into a hero, not this s****. And they call us the best fans in the land, and we can't even support our own. Totally agree with you. Fair play to him.

Doug
The safest time to do this again will be 1/2 hour before kick off next home game. The painter will be clapped and cheered and a riot will breakout if anyone tries to intervene.

S.S.R.
The best painters are always strange looking. You only need to look at a portrait of Picasso, for example.

Or a few hundred fans form a semicircle around a painter then left him drift into the crowd without the police getting near..

SteveMc
Bet he will be there all night and on minimum wage too. Costing the club money, straight from the summer's transfer warchest (sic). Thanks Gollum

Guest sicko2ndbest
It's all part of the rebranding strategy Sports direct/ Mike Ashley take the flack for removing the signs. If it was the new brand removing it the negative press associated would make the sponsorship worthless. Being the brand that got rid of SD would be a great way to start

If it was the new brand removing it the negative press associated would make the sponsorship worthless. Being the brand that got rid of SD would be a great way to start This is true actually, we're almost guaranteed to love anyone who buys the naming rights just because they're not sports direct. Imagine if somebody went one step further and renamed it st James park. Ashley would make a pot of gold out of thin air and the company in question would have a whole bunch of loyal customers for life.
BlueStar
If you think either the intent or the final outcome involves anyone other than Sports Direct in the stadium name you're a lot less cynical than I am.
ujpest doza
Got a text off my mate at 3.50 AM this morning after he got stopped from putting St James park sign on the wall. I'd told him it was stupid beforehand.
