We had absolutely no idea what was going to happen next, and signs pointed to selling more players. Nonetheless, slating the club wasn't going to achieve anything. He gave his all for us and his decision to leave wasn't because he didn't enjoy his time here or whatever, it was because of the s*** that Llambias had pulled for the past 3 years. Shay was a local hero but he abandoned us when City came in waving their chequebook. I've just got a mental block against players who lap up the adoration but don't show any loyalty in return.
