He acts like a top player but this season didn't play like one. Last season he was incredible. I do have questions over his mentality however. Spat his dummy to get out of Everton (which I chalked up to being an unhappy young player, and you never seem to mind as much if a player's doing that to come to your club), then looked completely distracted at the start of this season. Then there have been performances where he hasn't looked arsed or lacked concentration (particularly with his passing). There have been other games where the occasion or something has got to him and his focus has completely gone and he seems far more petulant than he used to. I'm thinking both Everton games and of course the cup games versus Brighton where he's then banned for one of the key moments in our history. If this coming season we're getting 23/24 Gordon , fantastic. The Gordon of the 24/25 season doesn't deserve a start ahead of Barnes on the left and we know full well Eddie doesn't like to use him on the right.

The links seem to be players we've been chasing for 1-3 years. More than happy that if we have a player in mind that we really like, we keep them in mind for when they are available.
-
If we do some sign someone before the 30th, it means we have had some wiggle room in this years accounts, which is a positive.
-
Agree a little bit. They are all solid players, but a little boring maybe. What I like about Pedro is he brings something different to the team.
-
Been quite underwhelmed by the links so far for a variety of reasons. I think Pedro potentially has a high ceiling so wouldn’t be against it, only caveat for me is that at 60 million he has to be a starter. We are crying out for a right sided forward and centre half, so unless we have circa 150 million plus to spend this summer, this would feel a real luxury signing if he was only a back up to Isak. If Howe is planning on changing formation great, he can pick a pass and hold the ball up, but it’s a poor signing for me if it leaves us without a right sided forward, or centre half.

Haven’t watched loads of Leao but was never sold on him as an elite player. Never looks like having the consistency. Strikes me as a Manure type signing
-
I think if we sign him, it will be something like 52m + 10 based on certain criteria. Im more than happy for the club to pay big bucks if a player achieves things at the club; trophies, CL qualification, appearances, goals etc. That seems to be the smart way to go and it's a fair bet from Brighton point of view too.

When our interest in Cunha was being reported at the end of the season, it was reported we were happy to pay the £62 million release clause due to his positional versatility, and the different options and cover he'd be able to provide because of it. I imagine it's the same line of thinking with Joao Pedro. He's a younger version, but similar profile of player. Still has much more room to grow and develop too.

Net spend is almost meaningless. Real Madrid's next spend isn't crazy. Their academy and squad players are a conveyor belt of top 5 league players, often CL quality. Show me the wage bill. That's the real measure of investment. Overall squad cost too.

Should sign a real player called Joe Peters IMO.

Revamped herself as a massive goth.

‘Set to push to land’ is a very funny phrase.

Excellent opportunity for us.

Last I know she got rightly slated for that saga, she deleted Twitter and I think that was that.
-
I think JP has a fairly unique profile. But for £60m?? Even 50 is crazy but seems to be the going rate for anyone in the PL at that age. Thats Max Kilman money.

One of the worst sources on twitter.
-
No idea how good this fella is.
-
Isak and Osula are flirting with Elanga a lot on Instagram, the dirty teases.

A hermetically sealed ship where we call Palace about Guehi ten times a day.

Without doing any research, feels to me like a name that's dotted round the local non-league scene and never really pulled up many trees. Willing to be corrected on that by those who are more knowledgeable, but smacks of the cheap option / willing to accept shit working conditions because he knows he's not getting a National League gig otherwise.
-
Exactly. He allows us to play a different way in a different formation whilst also covering numerous positions. 60 million is a fair price on my opinion.

Is there no rumours at all atm?
