Pope part of the deal for Trafford?
-
Could see one of the promoted clubs thinking giving us what we paid for Pope as being a good deal. Meslier hasn't pushed on at Leeds, Burnley will need a new keeper to replace Trafford and he's been there before.
-
I don't buy this narrative that Liverpool wil get their flip flops out now they have won the league. They are not that type of club, they have a very demanding fan base. I think it's more likely that they'll play without any pressure now and really turn it on.
-
Love Keegan for that rant. Won't think anything else.
-
Depends on the 5 keepers we have and who stays and who goes Dubs was extended till summer but seemingly dropped for Pope once fit. Pope unless we or him have an option to extend a year has 12 months left come the summer Ruddy well who knows Greek fella who going to buy him if he reportedly rejected Saudi. I wouldn't be against him coming in number 1 but depends how early in the window he comes in and how he performs preseason etc.
-
Real Madrid are the biggest fish and any player at any club in the world would likely want to make the move if the interest was genuine. That being said, I don't think they'll be after him (yet), nor do I think he would want to move (yet). We'll get at least another year or two out of him.

Just stuck Sela on my gran’s tablecloth.
-
Thats the key. Theres no point keeping our top lads around just to try and be in the same place next year.

What I posted is a huge part of the same context tbf. If the context was that that Liverpool side under Klopp had no form for going on mad runs, it would never have been a concern. Very different with nigh on every other team though, so don't think it applies at all this season with any team, not least because Villa have already just lost. -
At the time, I was cheering on every word and it's an all time moment however you look at it. Legendary. Later on, people pointed out to me how it showed how the pressure and the baiting had finally gotten to him. Why do I get the feeling this would have been Howe's response?
-
It feels a bit strange to as a Newcastle fan to have full confidence in the management and players to deal with the pressure and achieve top 5, rounding off what will have been an incredible season, especially so when you think of the lack of transfers to help with such a push. But that's where I'm at.

All these ifs and buts
-
Trafford would also be approaching his 5th season of Pro football, he’s done his studying at this point. He’s been exposed to more football at this point than Ederson / Allison was when they made their big moves.
-
Would it not be the ideal time to make him number 1? He's going to come in with his confidence through the roof the way he's played. A few months on the bench might do the opposite of what he needs.
-
He's quite tall so he can get a good stride in to make up for lack of pace, a bit like Dan Burn. I think he could do a job in that department for a team mid-lower half of the table.
-
That's my line*. I think you're referencing Djinn Darin?
-
Its easy. Just win the remaining games. Arsenal loose to Liverpool and Newcastle and Miss potato Head Arteta have a meltdown 😂

Aye, if we're going to remove all context, including Liverpool's form throughout that season. The point is that it ended up being a complete irrelevance because we did our job. I think everyone agrees we need at least 68 points on the board this sesson to be in with a good shout. It's by far the most important factor here, as opposed to what other teams could and should do. -
Their CL run is worth a lot.
-
Think he has the potential to do well in a less pressured environment and a team that doesn't ask too much of him technically.

Due to injuries and VVD not being right after his ACL mainly, but it was the experience and mentality of them knowing what needed to be done that made them very dangerous. They still ended up winning 7 and drawing 3 of the last 10 so we had to be on it. -
Not arsed myself, but my mam was looking forward to the Arse game and it's on Prime rather than TNT? WTAF. I can just about accept spreading the games during earlier stages, but demanding two subscriptions at the semi final? Fucking scandalous that like.
