  1. Past hour
  2. All this hype for Goodison tomorrow is proper odd now like with it not being knocked down and still used. Like, i know Everton won't be playing there anymore themselves, but the ground isn't being knocked down, it'll still be as it is and the women will play there every other week. So you'll still see it every day, you'll still be able to go to a game there if you want etc etc. It's proper weird how they're carrying on now, can understand it if the ground was getting knocked down but it's not.
  3. I get that viewpoint completely however the new format of the CL does make things slightly easier in terms of difficulty of opponent week in week out and squad rotation. I think we’ll make sufficient signings for the squad to be that but stronger too. The other key point for me is I think our blue chip players want to be playing in the champions league too. Being in it reduces the risk of certain players leaving while also improving our chances of signing top players as well as the financial gains. I think where we’re at it’s more important to be in the champions league.
  4. Yeah it was weird that we had a leftback with a great freekick along with Robert nobby and speedo. Them times where great. And shearer of course 😂

    Joelinton

Just seen a load of Newcastle players turning into the private entrance at the airport, looks like big Joe is travelling with the team. Ps I was on the way to the shops, not camped out waiting, honest.
  6. Isak misses quite a few tbf.
  7. Decky

    Olivier Bernard

Sounds like a proper Reform voter.
  9. City win would also give Bournemouth something to play for still.
  10. Getting it in early but Fuck parish and fuck Palace and their grown men dressed as European ultras
  11. He wasn't as gifted as Beardsley for me, though he runs him close. There was no conspiracy against him, mind - that he didn't become one of the world's great players is down to him and his attitude. HBA should've been a generational great - but he wasn't; he had moments where his obvious talent was apparent.
  12. A little bit of me thinks that finishing the europa league could be a good opportunity for a proper trophy whereas champions league may be still really tough for us...
  13. Sometimes I think people don’t seem to grasp that getting into goal scoring positions consistently (popularly known as right place right time) is an elite skill in itself. Cole was brilliant at it.
  14. I'm not feeling the 'stress' or 'pressure' like. Being in Europe is fucking great, regardless of compeition. Qualifying for the UEFA Cup or the Conference League is not failure. And while I think we will make the CL, I'd rather we didn't view finishing outside the top five as failure
  15. Glad someone else said it. The one thing Cole wasn't for us was a good finisher - ratio wise to chances. Wasn't a surprise if he missed a one on one but you'd expect Shearer, Ba, WIlson, Beardsley, Isak to score. Was even worse for Man United in his first few years there and became a bit of a joke and a tradition that he'd shank a good chance a game before coming good after there was a lot of talk of them selling him in 97.

  17. I have seen Delap trying to cheat the match officials rather than play a great game. His temperament could upset the dressing room so look elsewhere please Mr Mitchell.
  18. Frankfurt bottling UCL after handing europa to stupid spurs is what they deserve.
  19. Agreed US and Villa - only 1 striker to compete with, 60-70 games if we do well in cups, good managers, good atmosphere and support from club and fans Man U and Chelsea - toxic, ruin players, weaker strikers to compete with so probably more playing time, but way more pressure, as these 2 clubs SHOULD be at the top based on their finances, churn of players, management, negative press etc I also think at £30m it's an insane opportunity, like Huijsen was. Even if he does average for a CL club for 2 years, you'd easily make a decent profit on him.
  20. God I miss this beautiful cunt. What a player.
  21. Freiburg with a goal difference of -1 in third place…
  22. Looks like Wright and Lescott have just won the ryder cup
  23. Nvm. Frieburg just scored. Dortmund back in europa league spot.
