  2. It's the wages if the quoted numbers are true and the inflationary aspect they'd have on other contracts yet to be negotiated. Got to stop looking at these things as transfer fee only.
  3. Popey and Trafford going forward would be a great 2 to have. Hope that’s how it turns out.
  4. Stifler

They were valued at £40m when he bought them. Who knows what he paid, considering the guys before him got the club for nothing, and were desperate to get out, you’d think he might have got a good deal. The big test of his ownership commitment will be that now they are in the Premier League, how long he will hold onto them when an American consortium will no doubt come looking.
  5. Definitely isn't going to fall out with Mourinho.
  6. Scoot

They beat off competition from Leeds so the competition was strong. I'm sure at some point in the near future he'll have turned down the mags too.
  7. I understand why people want man u to be getting ripped off. But like 60 70 million for proven goal scorer one of the best players in the premier League constantly for the past couple years isn't really being ripped off. It's just being paid the market value when you look at like other players. It's actually probably quite cheap if it's 70 million versus some of the fees
  8. Career’s fell off a cliff ever since he decided to stamp on Schar.
  9. Makams be hijacking this one I reckon was good while it lasted Time move on
  10. Look at that subtle off-white colouring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God. It even has a pussy cat.
  11. Pardon me? That's Pumas and it's exceptional.
  12. If you look at the impact of Howe in that first season, I doubt there has ever been a more profound improvement made on a team second half of season (would have qualified for Champions League on the points per game for last 19 games; certainty for relegation challenging lowest ever points tally on ppg fir first 19 games). That impact, that remarkable improvement (with mainly the same squad) is possibly a greater achievement of his (and the wider club) leadership than the two CL qualifications or League Cup win.

Hopefully goes the same way as their last record signing from France

they must spend, they need to spend 100 million to at least have a chance of survival. i hope they splash the cash tbh , its only going to end one way if not this season then the next then they will go bust

Out of curiosity how much did Dreyfus pay for them? Must be a hell of an ROI for him.

Their business model is essentially a budget Brighton/Brentford. The fact that they have replaced Jobe with a player of similar age and profile shows they're not exactly idiots and not as much as a laughing stock as some suggest.
  18. I think Pope stays even if he’s number 2, seems he’s very happy here and I’m sure at his age (33) he would want a bit of stability in his life. He’s sadly not going to get back in the England squad. Can only see him leaving if a strong offer comes in, they’ll not sell him on the cheap, I.e less than £10m.

Interesting how nobody is trying to hijack it.
  20. I like that. Simple, effective, subtle piping.
