Nothing wrong with 'buying' a foul with legitimate contact and being clever about it. That's different from being a cheat - and AG leans towards the latter far too often.

Has definitely not been right ever since missing that Liverpool game in the league. I know it's easy to make excuses but you can tell he isn't right. Probably the same nagging groin issue he had last year. Been snatching at chances, not able to sprint at full speed and generally just lacking shaprness. But as others have said, it's still more worthwhile having him in the team than the current version of Wilson and Eddie still doesn't trust Osula. Really do think Osula coming on for him in a few games would have helped the team however. Fingers crossed he can keep going two more games and hopefully get a couple of tap ins.

Been rumoured since at least last summer so I'd guess there's something to it. Think it'll be a firm no from us though.

i hope we go for the win, but it's also important we don't lose anymore important players in case we need them for Everton.

Everton? They've beaten us twice in the last 10. -

6 years (on the 12th May) since Rafas farewell on that glorious sunny day at Craven Cottage. A 4-0 romp. We were looking so good at the end of that season. Was interesting reading the report on nufc.com and talk of the possibility of Rafa being replaced by some has been, happy to toe the line. That's exactly what we got. It was the day of the flotilla up the Thames too. I can remember watching from a pub and a Chelsea fan was commending us for how good that was.

Little about him? He’s got 12 goals in an absolutely useless team. Not every centre forward needs “trickery and guile” we have that in Isak, might be nice to have a different kind of weapon in the squad no? He’d be a great option for 30 million but he will probably go elsewhere.
-
Now someone chart this cunt up and make a NO team of the season.
-
Aren't you normally all about the eye test? I'm not saying he's bad obviously, I think he's a very good footballer, but putting him in a team of the season for this year is laughable really. It doesn't matter how much he's saved this that or the other, there are just plenty of other players who've done more and played better.
-
Wallop!

I didn't think he was that bad yesterday. He did some things very poorly, and some important things very well as part of a winning team performance. He definitely wasn't a dead weight on us. I find it weird to want to pick on him in the circumstances.

Like an Ivan Drago megazord

Yep - away goals haven't counted in the playoffs for donkeys years. You'd think they'd know that, given that lower league playoffs are their bread and butter and the only time they'll ever see their team win at 'Wembo'

I remember at least 2 goals he just got done by some good movement from an attacker. A goal conceded against Chelsea by Havertz springs to mind. He was great but - he was one of the weakest links. This season - he’s been our best central defender. He wasn’t better than Schar in those 6 months. He’s been better than Schar easily. Been better on the ball. A bigger aerial threat. He’s gone to another level. I wouldn’t have thought then we could get CL with a BurnxSchar defence
-
He's more or less been the only good thing about a pretty lacklustre Ipswich this season. More than good enough to be a PL player next year. Under the right coaching he's got potential.

Whilst I don't like siding with the enemy, and I think it's great that Big Dan is having such a fantastic climax to his career, I didn't see him as team of the year material at all. There's a reason why centre back is one of our top priorities in the next transfer window. He lacks pace, he's cumbersome on the ball and although his height means he wins a lot of headers, he's not actually as good in the air as you might expect. Getting that bulky 6foot 6inch frame off the ground is not easy. Stick a 5foot 9inch South American midfielder in front of him and he'll clean up, of course. He does well because of his strength and his experience, but also because of Eddie's amazing way of organising our defending in general. The abiding wonder for me over the last 3 years has been how few goals we concede, despite the limitations of many individual players. As for Fernandes, he never even popped into my head as a candidate, which is unfair because he is a very good player. There's something annoying about both him and his club though.
-
Agreed but he’s not a work-rate player so he’ll always been a bit of an easy target when his quality isn’t there either. God even Laurent Robert got booed off and he was twice the winger Barnes is.

I can see Gordon scoring

Watched him long and hard a striker with little about him no trickery or guile and certainly not champions league quality. Also tries to cheat referees on a regular basis. He is basic and not what we need to compete with Barcelona or Inter
