  1. Need to drop the ooooohhs to make that work
  2. Bruno, £35 fucking million. What would that get you 3 years on?
  3. It's not just the player, its a team style of play. And not just against a low block. Teams who's plan B is to bring on like for like subs will always struggle to change the direction of games and that's been more of an issue that not having the magic to pick a lock. Osula is wildcard who's unpredictability and raw enthusiasm could be used to effect this season, albeit in an individual way and a profile such as DCL (note profile such as, not saying DCL is the answer) where you can switch to a more direct ball to a back tot he goal front man / put it in the mixer early approach would provide a different option.
  4. The second coming of Andy Carroll was pivotal in Shelvey scoring one of the more iconic goals of the VAR era, so not completely pointless
  5. Reckon he'll fall for the Weatherspoons joke?
  6. Trafford behind them Then you've got 5-6 years of Tonali in front
  7. Pull that off plus another forward for cover then very very good. Swap out Longstaff and/or Willock for a centre mid option and forget the vaseline, I'm going raw like Liz Truss demands
  8. Luckily we've got 2 of the best defending right backs in the league to put behind him
  9. 'I'll pause here for questions and comments' Or 'You've had the slides, I'll take them as read and am seeking approval to move forward' My personal favourites when you haven't prepared quite as well as you should have or the discussion before your item was more interesting
  10. Agreed with Osula, think this is the breakout season for him. With PSR related shackles I reckon we spend on a specialist CB, GK and someone who can cover a few positions across the front. A CM would be sensible, especially if Longstaff and/or Willock leave. Then that leaves up front and I don't see any serious money being spent there so its either Osula and Gordon covering or we go for a freebie like DCL. His stats aren't great but watch out for Vipotnik at Swansea this year, just turned 23 and with the right system around him he has the tools to be a more than decent striker, £5-10m would get him here and he would flourish as the backup
  11. Was going to post something very similar. Its easy to get caught up in our bubble but do other premier league clubs have the same sort of feel and attachment? Genuine question, I know you get the 'ones a blue always wanted to play for Liverpool' crap, but could any other club pull this type of release off? Also, how can someone like Isak who has all the talent in the world not get a twinge of how much of an absolute hero and legend they could be here when surrounded by the way we hold onto the heroes of the past? Give him the bloody number 9 shirt and help make him a god (or a fucking legend in Bruno speak) Finally - how much is that hat going to be worth on ebay...
  12. Perhaps Villa are playing a longer game, take a few points hit next season but protect the squad and look at Europa as the route into the champions league for 26/27
  13. Especially at £500k a week, we can definitely only afford one
  14. Kluivert would be my number one choice if he wasn't predominantly a left sided player. What about Ascensio? Proved he can do it on the premier league, one year left on his contract so probably available for a lowish price (helps with the inevitable high wages).
  15. Should have been brown as a nod to the Mersey
  16. You'll end up with a Sophie Ellis Bexter - all the right features but just doesn't quite work (Groovejet video as the exemption here)
  17. Bookmark this for when Liverpool win the league by 30 points but I really think they are going to (relatively) bomb next year as age and the weight of all the cash in his pockets catches up with Salah. Fighting it out in the 4th - 7th group rather than fighting with City for second place (behind us of course!)
  18. We don't need to sell for an actual profit to benefit though - just need to sell at above book value. Not that I'd be selling him though unless it's to bring in a transformational talent. Id like to think we could get more headroom benefit from selling Longstaff and Willock than Barnes, well maybe close to the benefit rather than more...
  19. Forest are likely to be back in PSR shit next summer with their owner, swoop in and do them a favour with a £50m deal (plus Vlac going back).
  20. Phil fucking Neville taking out Gillespie at OT won the league for ManU
  21. Only 36, could do worse for a home grown cheap option 🤣
  22. I think he'll stay (for 2 years if we get CL again for 26/27), and obviously hope he stays but if he is going to leave I just hope it's quick so we don't miss the boat of opportunity on the likes of Sesko, Omishen, David etc
  23. He's never going to perform as a £80m winger, or at least out perform that and there will always a little chipping away at his because of the fee. He will of course do well if he moves, he's a more than decent player, but I doubt he'll ever quite reach where he should for more than the odd spell. Our squad would be better served in selling one of Gordon or Barnes and bringing in a slightly different left wing profile and then do the same on the right so we have one more direct and one a little more considered as options - even if the individual players in Barnes and Gordon are better
  24. Arsenal more likely at 5:30 so we need to have a b team down there ready to play
  25. First: Brighton away Boxing day: Leeds home Last: Fulham home (well technically it will be Madrid (neutral) Bonus points... Mackems at home early October, away late Feb
