Played for england loads of times. But he is being unfairly overlooked now. FYP Good point, I'd have him in the England team for every game. Sure, there's a chance he'd pick up a career threatening injury and the FA would have to pay his wages for us, but that's the chance you take. i think he was speaking at a sporting chance clinic function or something like that and well if your a reporter you'd obviously ask about it. In fairness I'd hope both shearer and barton could act as adults to each other if he came back because we ain't going to be able to offload him, no one will chance it with barton. In the summer transfer window someone will try to buy him (if he is fit) Probably whoever gets promoted with us or a bottom 6 Prem team Hull would certainly take a chance on him if Phil Orange is still manager I doubt it, if there was anyone willing to risk a move to barton he'd be gone already If he was fit it would be easier to move him on in Jan as mangers can be desperate for new blood I still think the Tango man will move for him as he probably believes that he is the only manger in world footaball who is good enough to get the best from Barton

Why would you want a bunch of amateurs to buy the club? I would rather a group of well intentioned professional investors purchased the club with a well thoughtout business plan

if county agree then he's a free agent so can sign up for who and whenever. Are you sure? It may have changed over the last few years but, using the Keane scenario as an example, he got released by Man Utd but because he'd played for them in that transfer window, he was ineligible to play for another club, i.e. Celtic, until January 1st. Might just be me being thick. not 100% sure If not on a permanent deal how about a season long loan?
