It'll end up being a tragic reboot of things we've seen before and ultimately failing at the box office.

How can it be a trilogy when he’s already been here 3 times. Aye it ended badly but you can’t just delete history

Them years from 92-93 to 97 were absolutely magical teams were shit scared about coming to SJP because they ususally got a hiding or outplayed, we scored 5,6,7 for fun during that time

Who can forget the party in 93 6-0 up at HT against Leicester a hat trick a piece from Kelly and Cole or the 7-1 drubbing of Spurs and so on and so on I don't think the likes of them times will ever be replicated. My only thing against Keegan was his lack of tactical acumen really cost us winning the league that year (if hed just been more astute in certain games it was ours) and he really let Ferguson rattle him in the run in

Other than that he gave me the best years ive had in 40 plus years of supporting NUFC and only Bobby has ever come close

Feel the same.

That was a brilliant night and it was an honour to speak to him. He's a gentleman with time for everybody, and a fantastic storyteller. You could've listened to him tell stories all night (and I think he wanted to!), and you feel like he's got a special anecdote for literally every player or person he's come across in the game. He was waffling-on to my Dad about Darren Huckerby ffs.

Beardsley and Terry Mac were sat right behind us too, which was funny. So too George Caulkin, who I decided to approach and gush over before the show had started. He was unsurprisingly humble, like - get the feeling he's just a top, top man.

But yeah, ace. Love the Sage too, first time I've been in there. Few forum faces, too - Rich & bro, LFEE to name a couple; pretty sure I clocked Midds on the stairs n'all.

Top night.

Wasn't the 7-1 v Spurs during Robson's reign?

Don't disagree with the general sentiment though.

No.

It is, though, an odd example to pick to signify the joy of the Keegan era. If I recall correctly that game was the time he decided he had had enough. I remember seeing him at the game and thinking how miserable he looked (think he was wearing a black woolly hat). He said afterwards (not the full story I’m sure) that he just felt sorry for the Spurs manager (Francis?) rather than feeling the joy he felt he should have done. Must have been close to his final game.
