Sifu
That's it, I'm done with England. Fucking Allardyce man! (Watch him win the World Cup now...).

Beren
This is hilarious. The FA are determined to stay firmly planted in the '80s.
BottledDog
Oh look! London yet again stealing our brightest and best. Rise up Sunderland! Rise up!
Guest chopey
I just think international football is about putting a team together that wants to play together, our players are coached every day by Pep, Jose, Wenga, poch and Klopp we don't actually need a fantastic coach just a bloke that can make the players want to play their country. I still think that Peter Taylor should have kept the job before Sven (making Beckham captain was inspired). My only fear is that Big Sam will think he is super coach and try and re-coach the players and change there club positions, but if he keeps it simple and low profile he might just pull it off. Jesse Pinkman
I'm actually enjoying this appointment, the banter is going to be unreal , it's not as if the England set up hasn't been a joke for a few years now. Hiring Woy proved to me the FA doesn't have a clue on what direction it is going.
toon25
The amount of money those clowns at the FA are paid, and they go out and 'find' Allardyce. What a complete set of cunts. Unambitious doesn't even begin to explain it.
Rompe
So many people have this warped view of allardyce. I'll bring back his "Allardici" comment - if he didn't look and sound like he does, people wouldn't label him as a Dinosaur and as a joke. As a Bolton fan, 1999-2006 was the most incredible journey with him at the helm.he championed sports science as soon as he joined Bolton, revolutionizing the way they trained, analyzed and performed. He'll take no shit and turn these underachieving players into a genuine force. I have no doubt he'll be one of the best England managers behind Bobby and Alf. I'm pretty sure success in international football requires more than "a bloke who can make the players want to play for their country", in fact I'm not sure what that even means. It sounds like the sound of jingoistic bollocks you hear on 606 after England have been tactically outclassed by a smaller nation again.

Beren
Love the distinct lack of articles by respected journalists addressing Allardyce being named manager. No one wants to be address the elephant hippo in the room here, I guess.

Stottie
What a joke. If there is one thing nearly as big as his head, it's his mouth, so it's only a matter of time before he comes up with some Allardici level comments. You can't even justify his appointment on the grounds of "safe for PR", admittedly important for the national side(*). (*) See Glenn Hoddle.

I just mean motivating players to do their best for England, I can't see the point of constantly seeing the negative in every thing you don't agree with. Minhosa
Listening to Radio 5 Live first thing this morning and they wheel out Custis the Sun Sports Reporter to comment on this cunts appointment. Quite unbelievable hoop licking. Like, beyond ridiculous, how much credit he was giving him. The tabloids are going to be very pro. Can only hope he gets off to a losing start and they all slowly turn.
LoveItIfWeBeatU
For some reason his appointment as England manager has Fat Les "Vindaloo" playing in my mind. I suppose its a suitable anthem for him.
Lush Vlad
Talksport was much the same. I keep hearing "well, he deserves his chance." Based on what? He's managed a load of mediocre teams, had one decent finish in his whole top level career, his teams play turgid football, I would guess he averages well below 50% possession and he's never won fuck all? Shouldn't an international manager be experienced at the very top level, or be a former player, with the potential to get it right? Not someone that just screams out, 'average'. I'm done with the national side. What a complete and utter farce this appointment is. Not that I was ever massively patriotic about England in the first place. It's going to be impossible for me now. I genuinely think I would have preferred Pardew as manager, over Allardyce or Bruce. But then again, that is like saying would you prefer a dog shit sandwich, cat shit roll or an infected spinal column in a bap (I should have said baguette). Theregulars
So basically the majority of the squad will be players drawn from clubs with Mourinho, Klopp, Pochettino, Wenger and Guardiola as manager - can you imagine a 2-week break from that to "land ball on Kane's head and get stuck in"? I'm more interested to see the damage that he can do to those squads when he gets their English players in his large, sweaty bucket-hands. In terms of predictability of failure, this ranks alongside McClaren to us.
