Ronaldo
What an absolute w***** Terry McDermott is. Having a go at the owners for not being 'Liverpool people' and 'in it for the money'. Terry Mac is a good bloke but he was talking utter s**** during that interview. Nonsense. He's a pretentious tool.
Belfast Mags
Pardew wouldn't go there imo, think he's glad to be finally settled somewhere. I think he would, it's seen to be a bigger job than Newcastle, and it's fairly likely he'll never do as well as this season again, and thus never have such a good chance at a job like that. That's a fair point actually. Is unlikely to get a better chance to manage a top four club Oh, hold on a minute Seriously though, there's a massive rebuilding job there and with £100m to spunk away you just never know. If he is approached (and turns it down "to finish what he's started at Nu-castle") I'll name my next kid Alan Scott Pardew

Taylor Swift
If they get someone like Hitzfeld, Rijkaard, Capello or Lippi then I'd be worried. I hope they get Rodgers or Martinez because they'll be back here - managerless - in 18 months.

LesPaul
Whilst most journalists seem to be Dalglish apologists Brian McNally is sticking the boot in on Twitter. @McNallyMirror: As a #Celtic fan I admired Kenny Dalglish as a player. But dealing with him as a manager was not pleasant.Rude, arrogant & at times ignorant. @McNallyMirror: Patrick Collins aptly summed up the #lfc legend when he said - “ Kenny Dalglish is not as remotely as clever as he thinks he is. " Spot on! @McNallyMirror: Kenny Dalglish decline began after Blackburn title win. Dire at #nufc, mediocre at #Celtic & 8th at #lfc after huge spend. Yesterday's man. @McNallyMirror: Pathetic home win record of 33 %, misguided handling of Suarez farce, transfer incompetence & obnoxious manner put paid to Dalglish at #lfc It'll be "DON'T BUY THE MIRROR" next. Super Duper Branko Strupar
Did they summon him all the way to America to sack him? Never thought about it like that, he probably dazzled them with his cheery charm to seal the deal. Imagine his flight back, man. Fuck, imagine the poor flight attendants. They were sacking him, just do it over the phone. Class. All the peasant deserves.

brummie
The problem with Liverpool is they're flirted far too closely with entirely losing their status of late. They're fallen out of the top four, and it's very hard to see how they can get back into it. It is still a big job, but whereas a few years ago, you'd think maybe managers of the calibre of Mourinho or Guardiola would go there, they're now a club is sliding away from its position of prosperity, and the only way to get it back is to spend a huge amount of cash. As they're hamstrung with the small stadium, and have just outlaid a load of cash on a raft of shite players, it's not difficult to see there isn't going to be much huge cash to spend there. FSG are not going to pour money into the club Man City style.
jdckelly
David Conn @david_conn So Kenny Dalglish has gone and as of now, Fenway's Liverpool have no manager, director of football, head of press, or new stadium plan #lfc They've just sacked managing director Ian Ayre too. who the hell is running the club then Jamie Carragher? Disco
What odds on Benitez coming back? Wouldn't be surprised and would appease the fans. Can't think of many European names that are available that would go & be welcomed. Cappello maybe? He'd fit in with the boring dross they like.
