it never reached 500 pages :)

It really seems like we have cheated this time. We have avoided putting the hard yards and got a great signing. There's clearly something sinister going on in the background of NUFC.

Premier league physio room has his return date as Feb 26th which would be the Bolton game. If you think he got injured at the very beginning of October that would be 5 months recovery which if the break isn't a complicated one is feasible. Even if that's delayed a couple of weeks and he's back early March you'd still take that.

Will be happy if he gets some minutes towards the end of the season and is completely fit for the next one.

Hatem Ben Arfa - £5 million  :yikes:

James Milner - £27 million

Fantastic deal. As much as it pains me to say it hats off to Ashley, Llambias, Carr, Hughton, Pardew...basically everyone involved in this transfer from day one.

Puts it in a very interesting perspective.

Would be good to know exactly how these deals evolve, e.g. Carr spots, Hughton approves, Llambias seals, in order that credit could be given to those who made it happen.

We'll probably never find out, but overall I prefer this way of doing business to the soap operas we used to be involved in.

Personally it's pat on the back for all of us also, you can see we have left an impression on the lad because all his interviews have praised and thanked us. He's very much a player who'll perform best when being adored, big fish little pond and all. Well done fat boy and cronies, why can't you be this nice to us more often?

Bit strange that we're signing him now and were dead set on just getting a loan deal pre-season. Not like we've seen a great deal of him. Still pretty glad though, just hope he recovers well from his injury.

Potentialy a great signing. Can't wait to see him back. If we can get in Irish legend Keano in now I'd be very happy.
