Remy. Though you could swap him with Ba.

Didn’t even think of Remy. Was doing the 5 back system. But holy hell yes please.

Remy and HBA wide. Almiron at the 10.  Ba up top and Cab and Tiote central.

The impact he had on the team when he joined under Hughton was immense.

It was simple passes, tackles, but it was like we'd erected a brick wall in front of the back four. It doesn't surprise me that his teammates loved him, you got the sense he was a fierce competitor but a good bloke.

The fact he's no longer here is just desperately sad.

Forgot about that goal, pissed me off again seeing it

I don't think it was deflected. IIRC it was disallowed because Gouff (?) was deemed to be obstructing the keeper's view (he wasn't)

Still weirdly shocking to me that the guy is dead. The goal against Arsenal is one of my top 3 NUFC goals I think - the rush when it went in was unreal.

RIP.

Didnt he get a 100% pass complwtion rate in his first game?

I believe he did. His full debut and also HBA’s. I was at that game and he was a monster, second best player on the pitch that day.

Travelled back down south with an Everton fan which was pretty sweet.

The reaction both after the decision and after HT, when the stadium had gotten another look at half time was something else like.

Never heard so much loud and sustained booing from the crowd because we knew it was a disgrace.

It's actually got me fuming once again  :dave:

Sure Dummett said something like "you would receive the ball in training and immediately feel the wind change... you knew Tiote was coming for you"

RIP the destroyer.

My favourite quote on any Newcastle player. What a legend
