Daft questions (football edition)

Nothing more than that, I only heard it when driving across Donegal, two guys on a radio station discussing english football suggested there was no injury and he wouldnt play this season for other reasons. Probably a load of nonsense seeing as no one else is mentioning it.

I could look this up but I’m sure someone knows the actual rules. Can you score directly from a throw in as the attacking side or does it need to take a touch beforehand?

It has to take a touch beforehand, earlier on in the year Tom Tonks "Scored" from a throw-in in the FA Cup for Tamworth, but only because the keeper flapped at the ball, and it hit him on the way in, if he'd just left it, it would have been a goal kick. I think it went down as an own goal as well.

It would have to go down as an own goal as without the touch it wouldn’t be on target and it would just be a goal kick to the defending team.
