Sylvain Marveaux - arrested

Recommended Posts

Wants to do better than we did last season (of course) and progress to be one of the best teams in England :coolsmiley:, hopes to score some goals, seems intelligent like Cabaye

He's a looker, like Cabaye, as well.

Admits we weren't his first choice.

Looking at the interview again it seems to me that he's trying to say that the fact that HBA and Cabaye were already here was not the "first" thing he thought about while choosing us. Could be wrong though,

Think you might be right on a further viewing.

Liverpool researcher reckons Liverpool offered £40k a week, and we offered £60k a week. I politely declined that speculation.

You mean a paddy with a Liverpool shirt, a blog and a Twitter account?

It's all speculation as to why he chose us over them lot, although I wouldn't be surprised if the length of the contract came into it. We all know our constraints when it comes to finances and they haven't blinked when offering Carroll and Henderson stupid cash. I struggle to believe that they suddenly went all age of austerity on us and refused to match our offer.

No idea where he got those figures from, but find it hard to believe we'll have offered anything above £50k (if that). Twitter is a pain in the arse.
