SUPERTOON
So if he didn't fail a medical, why come here over Liverpool, can't see us paying more than Liverpool.
Dave
'Not scared' of the change in culture/league (ten years in France), what he wanted. Favourite position sounds to be in the Henry role, on the left but inside.

PENKAAA
It says in the Chronicle today that all three new signings (Cabaye, Ba and Marveaux) have all bought houses over here already, which is great to hopefully help them integrate more.

clintdempsey
Admits we weren't his first choice. Looking at the interview again it seems to me that he's trying to say that the fact that HBA and Cabaye were already here was not the "first" thing he thought about while choosing us. Could be wrong though,

Guest ObiChrisKenobi
Liverpool researcher reckons Liverpool offered £40k a week, and we offered £60k a week. I politely declined that speculation.
David Icke - Son of God
Liverpool researcher reckons Liverpool offered £40k a week, and we offered £60k a week. I politely declined that speculation. You mean a paddy with a Liverpool shirt, a blog and a Twitter account? It's all speculation as to why he chose us over them lot, although I wouldn't be surprised if the length of the contract came into it. We all know our constraints when it comes to finances and they haven't blinked when offering Carroll and Henderson stupid cash. I struggle to believe that they suddenly went all age of austerity on us and refused to match our offer.

You mean a paddy with a Liverpool shirt and a Twitter account? No idea where he got those figures from, but find it hard to believe we'll have offered anything above £50k (if that). Twitter is a pain in the arse.
