Andybiotics
Miss the days of having a captain who gives a fuck about the team. When Nolan & Barton were together on the field they wouldn't let anyone else give up.
HawK
When was the last time a club outside the relegation zone in the PL had the worst goal difference? A bad GD is usually indicative of allowing the team to cave-in more often than not. Absolutely shocking leading of the team imo.
Big Geordie
Heart the size of a pea and it saddens me to say that. It's noticeable how anyone with a voice and was prepared to stand up, was binned by Ashley.... Nolan, Barton, Harper, etc. Ashley likes people who tow the line. morla84
Sums the club up that they forced him to stay so they didn't have to fork out for a replacement
Darth Crooks
Captain means little or less at club like ours when your 'managers' above them are lying cretins with the IQ of a pubic louse.
Jackie Broon
First choice centre half for two Newcastle sides that have been relegated come the end of the season. Says it all. I was thinking yesterday, are there any more longstanding central defensive 'units' in the premier league, or the English league as a whole for that matter, than Coloccini & Williamson / Taylor? ... or any that look more like strangers on the pitch? Wallace
We got rid of Ben Arfa because the captain complained he was unprofessional and because he did not track back. He is not setting a good example himself these days to his teammates and there is no easy scapegoat now to point the finger at as the defence goes from bad to worse and the lack of professionalism permeates throughout the team. Nattfare
Ben Arfa is the incarnation of Satan. It's his fault that we had those losing streaks when he came on to turn around our 3-0 defeats and failed.

Guest DebuchyAndTheBeast
He should have been allowed to go when there was that crisis in his personal life and he wanted to go back to Argentina. The club takes a hit, but it's not wise to pressure an unhappy player to stay. Particularly if he's the captain and he's supposed to inspire others. He's not been the same since. Agree. The desire, respect and confidence seems to be gone.
Guest firetotheworks
It's the old leaving as a hero, being around long enough to be a villain scenario, but it's entirely his own fault. Regardless of him wanting to go home, he still obviously has no professional pride and is an atrocious captain, only Owen has been a worse example of leadership. Ronaldo
Owen was a cowardly ineffective shit but Coloccini's on a different level, man. He's been at fault for more goals this season than Mike Hooper and Pavel Srnicek combined. Most of which seem to be down to shit judgement or shit effort. Inexcusable. As a bonus we have the ones down to shit athleticism. They're great fun to watch.

BlueStar
Fabricio Coloccini could be stripped of the Newcastle United captaincy for the final three games of the season after being involved in a bust-up with goalkeeper Tim Krul following the humiliating defeat by Leicester City. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/newcastle-united/11580318/Newcastle-captain-Fabricio-Coloccini-in-bust-up-with-Tim-Krul-on-team-bus-after-Leicester-defeat.html
