Foluwashola
Oh aye, it's all but guaranteed if we do get taken over it'll be by some absolute crackheads and it'll turn out to be a nightmare. Nailed on. Is honestly rather just Ashley gets on with backing Rafa as opposed to getting full on Dr Tony-ed.

Sir Toon
If there's genuine interest then it means that Ashley HAS been trying to sell the club and the rumours true.
Kimbo
I don't like it simply because I get the impression most people wanting to takeover football clubs are no good, productive takeovers seem rare.

Big Geordie
Interesting - never a dull day at NUFC. Could be the difference between being mid-table and potentially being propelled into top 6 with right owner and signings. mrmojorisin75
Haven't they been cleaning up the stadium recently for the first time in ages? Can imagine them showing people around like the fake town in blazing saddles.
Andymc1
I'm firmly in the over the moon camp. People far too quick to forget about the last decade. Investment in Chinese football has been with huge sums of money recently and there are some absolute filthy rich Chinese investors who have been touting around football ownership for a while. At the minute, we spend the club's money - if we could have that money as well as some outside investment we're onto a winner. Can't actually believe people want Ashley to stay. Village Idiot
Are there any success stories of clubs being taken over by Chinese companies? Wanda has a stake in Atlético, but it's still early days. The Chinese people that took over Espanyol seem pretty slow and steady, very hands off. Peter Lim is Singaporean, not Chinese, but Valencia are a disaster. Toondave
Wonder if the current sponsorship deal was a prelude to this? Was thinking the same. Small part of me (but it does the job) is very erect, head's not so happy. Surely this can't work out well for Newcastle United
r0cafella
Can't believe i'm saying this but Louise Taylor actually mentioned this was a possibility a few weeks ago.

West Brom are owned by a Chinese owner, worth £6.2billion apparently.
r0cafella
seems to be a leak from inside the club, a few outlets reported this at the same time.
