Ronny running a story that MA could be willing to sell a stake rather than sell the club. Not read it because their website is f***ing s**** and breaks computers.

We have publicly invited external investment before if memory serves?

Not expecting new owners to shower the club in money, but get rid of Charnley and get some proper sports executive in there and that will help the club immeasurably.

Ado Den Haag. Their owner promised they would soon be challenging for top honours and has been legally charged by the club recently for failing to meet his end of the investment bargain. Seems very much a mixed bag. Still, I'd rather take a mixed bag than a downright crap one.

It's important to realize how things have changed when considering any Chinese owners. Chinese investment and ownership of European clubs is not strictly just private investors out for their own interests or capital gains, as has been the case in the past, and so it's not necessarily worth directly comparing to past cases and examples.

It's now a concerted government effort for soft power using the football industry as a vehicle, orchestrated from the very top of the Chinese government. The purchases of both the Milan clubs and a percentage share of Man City are the most notable examples of this.

It'll only become more clear what kind of investment this is when we actually find out who they are.
