Well they're the best team in the league. Very disappointed with the goals we conceded and the chances we missed, but I think we can hold our heads pretty highly after that.

Yep, especially considering we were missing the player we probably needed most to have any chance (ok, apart from Colo).

Think there's plenty of positives to take from this.

Sammy looked very very good away at the best team in the league.  Growing by leaps and bounds every match.

Did OK without Tiote again.  Guthrie's gotten much better.

Created several clear cut chances against a mean defence.

Ben Arfa played 75 minutes, looked to be much closer to full fitness, created several good opportunities.

Colo/Saylor did very well.

Hopefully opens the door for Santon.

Not the worst result, all in all, knowing we're going to lose going in.

Exactly, plus they've spent like eleventy billion pound buying all the best players...cheating cunts :)

Considering the quality of City and the expectations we had prior to this afternoon, I have to say I'm not too fussed with the result. If we play like we did today against Manchester United, we will still have a chance to get a result. This is obviously provided that Raylor is omitted from the starting eleven.

Not bad at all.

Had Guthrie or Ben Arfa scored, the game would have been massively changed. Same with Ba's chances in the first half.

We got found at full back which is well overdue. We really need to sign another one and play him with Santon as our full backs.

Ben Arfa looked very promising. Some intelligent passing, picked up some lovely positions and created two superb chances single handed. Shame Ba is no targetman as it doesn't look like the two will be effective together.

Inevitable but we paid them far too much respect in the first half IMO. Would prefer it if we didn't give up after 3-0 n all. Not fair on the lads and lasses who've travelled down to watch us.

Really harsh, man. Give over.

Gah frustrating to be beaten by mistakes rather than outplayed, which we often were, but then a lot of the second half we were very strong. Ben Arfa perhaps should have scored but unlucky to just hit post, and then great save to cut out the guthrie cross. Ba forgot his lucky gloves or something. Can't help thinking with Tiote may have got something from the game.

Oh well, onwards, in no way a blow to the campaign as noone will have counted on points there.

Agree. Should have tried to give them a game from the first minute. Like we played towards the end of the first half - before conceding - and at the start of the 2nd half.

Maybe give up is the wrong term but they were hardly busting a nut to get back into it.

Disappointed with the result but we created a number of good chances that we'd have scored from on another day.

Thought Ben Arfa played very well, despite giving away a penalty, if he can continue playing like that he'll be devastating for us.
