Dogawful Officiating

Appalling performance from the ref, who must be delighted the game went our way when he has watched it back.

Chatted to a non NUFC mate earlier who didn't watch it and his response was, "you won 3-1, so why do you care".

Well, because we could very easily have gone out if the players hadn't pulled their socks up and gone on and stuffed them.

Watching the highlights now and I'm still both fuming and proud at the same time

Watching full game after being there yesterday. Apart from the awful officiating it has just cemented for me that Danny Murphy hasn’t got a clue. Another rubbish BBC mainstay. Hates us as well.

That Abraham goal I was calling offside in real time from the TV angle as it happened was so obvious. The lines man is looking along the fucking line from a static free kick. If you can't get that right then you have no chance with the fast moving non set piece offsides.

There was another blatant one in the first half aswell that he didn't flag and it let to a passage of sustained attack from them and we had to get bodies in the way and eventually went for a corner. Burn just looked flabbergasted at lack of flag again, must be so hard as a defender when you have done your job perfectly and are let down by awful officiating.

Not surprised Ramsey lost his shit after the 10th or so shit decision by that same linesman.

Why did our players hold back Douglas Luiz from having a go at the ref  when the keeper was sent off?

He was on a yellow.

Been watching the highlights back and I noticed this too, it was quite strange as the ref had already given the keeper the red card so didn't need to protect him from being persuaded otherwise

And like you say Luiz was ready to lose it and they would have been down to 9

I switched over from TNT because everyone here seemed to be watching on BBC.

I wish I hadn't.

Journalist on Sky this morning arguing the officials getting it wrong was just like a player blazing a shot into the stands. Accept it and move on. Shame you can’t sub the official during a match when they’re having a shocker. Jackie somebody or other, she also called the offside marginal. Felt like Talk Sport without needing to wind up callers.

I'm gonna watch the second half again on TNT this time. It will be cathartic.

Can anyone genuinely recall a shit decision that went in our favour this season? I’m struggling to think of one (don’t say that Haaland goal, as it didn’t really benefit us).

Thiaw should have been sent off in Leverkusen.

He's such a miserable bugger aswell. When I'm listening to a game in the car and he's on I usually have to to switch over or I'd end up sticking the hosepipe on the exhaust

Schar foden penalty could easily have been given and we went on to win

This thing with VAR not being in the earlier rounds, understandable I suppose with lower league grounds.

However right now, there's VAR in Serie C in Italy, League One level, and it's regional, 59 teams across 3 divisions. And, Italy has it in their Women's top league.

Shows how pathetic England is when we still don't have in the Championship.

 There's no fucking way he would have had the balls so send Luiz off there no matter how much he shouted at him

Claimed there was 'nothing in' the foul on Hall which was a nailed on penalty

And there's a hell of a lot more money in our game than in Italy.

I thought it was stonewall in real time, but with the benefit of a replay, he might just get a touch on the ball before making contact.
