I think Kavagnagh is within his rights to be fuming at his linesman, they let him down every time, granted he should have spotted at least the trippier one and even then it could be argued he is look at pushing and fouling in the box and relying on his assistants to help. What we don't know is the personalities of the 4 officials, maybe he was scared of the ref to say something, which would be against the whole point of his job, and undermine the whole process. I guess we've probably had an apology if that's the case. The lino next to the Digne challenge on Murphy has the Forest v Liverpool game. I think with uefa, it's literally as simple as, if the hand is next to your body = no penalty, if your hand is away from your body = penalty. The circumstances are otherwise completely ignored. There is no much the lad can do but it is well away from his body. Potentially could see that given in the PL although it may well come down to what the ref went with onfield?
