On a serious note, would be impressed if we pulled this one off, drooling at the prospect of Remy on the left and Barfa on the right! Sick to the back teeth of the Ba saga, holding the club to ransom on his wages, bitching and moaning when he doesn't get to play down the middle or, heaven forbid, gets left on the bench!!!?!?!? Remy, Cisse, Ben Arfa would be enough to put the shitters up any team.

Provided we hold onto Ben Arfa  :yao:

Every time this place goes on one of its shit pun sessions, I'm reminded of the following article:

The 5 Stupidest Lies Advertisers Expect You to Believe

#2. Using Puns as if They're Truly Clever

Puns are the lowest form of humor -- no debate, no discussion. They're easy and cheap, which is why they're one of the first types of comedy you learn as a child. And for that reason, it's why they're used in pretty much every single cereal ad ever created. Because kids are stupid.

The only time puns are ever funny is if they're so purposefully bad that the use of one is actually making fun of the very idea of puns. Or if you happen to be so incredibly dumb that you're genuinely impressed and think of them as clever plays on words. In which case, just stop reading this article now and enjoy the pretty pictures and videos. Like this one of George Takei, doing an ad for the Milwaukee public transportation system, in which he ends the PSA with, "It's out of this world!"

Get it? Because if he's in space, he's not physically in this world in which you and I currently reside! And it is also a phrase meaning "spectacular," that hasn't been spoken by a normal person outside of a commercial since the 1950s. But advertisers still can't stop themselves from using it because to them, it's still clever and still something that people can relate to.

Halloween is probably the worst time of year for it, though. Every local commercial is some dumbass auto dealership owner stuttering out monotone puns like "ghouls and boys." Or a furniture store with idiots in generic costumes, dancing around while the narrator tells you about their "spooktacular" savings:

Spooktacular Storewide Package Sale

If it only lasted through October, I could handle it, but it just keeps going and going. It's not only accepted in the world of marketing, but it's encouraged. Do they really not know? Do they not feel the heat generated by the hatred venting from the head holes of its collective audience when we see that horrible fucking "taste bros" commercial?

BA out and Remy in is pretty good going for this club, shame about Marv though, never given the opportunity to show what he can do.

Hope this striker situation doesn't detract from the essential strengthening needed at the back.

You do realise if we lose him now you're gonna get lynched?!

I'd like to see Marveaux at least get some time before he goes. He's a footballer, quality one.

If he is going to be a makeweight in the deal then I can't see him being risked. Not with his record of injuries.

Admittedly just Youtube footage (which maybe is more incriminating, since it's supposed to be his best bits!) but Remy seems extraordinarily one-footed.

Right footed?

Mm hm.

He looks fast and strong and his close control looks really good too, he does seem pretty right footed though

Ba has scored 65% of our goals this season, no matter how it is dressed up that is going to be a huge miss.

How can anyone else score when he's like a yorkshireman holding a penny??

Not sure if you are serious

Swings and roundabouts really, you could argue if it wasn't for Ba we'd be in the bottom 3 but you could also argue that if it wasn't for Ba we may be playing more fluid football, not convinced we'll miss him, not convinced we'll score as much without him...

I want shot of Ba personally, that's just where I'm at with it.

If we had a committed Ba the things would be different, but we clearly don't so best thing for us is to move on as quickly as possible, not necessarily replacing like for like, but making a change for the better of them team as well is a good opportunity for us.
