Segun Oluwaniyi
I have never understood where he was meant to fit into Tottenham's starting XI stylistically (and I genuinely think he would be more suited as an option in the centre for most of their matches, though they are well stocked there). They seem to target him aerially without Kane in the side, but more often than not in general attacking play, he seems to be standing isolated on the right in another of Tottenham's slow, ponderous buildups. I also find it bizarre that Pochettino is continually starting him when he is clearly struggling for form a bit at this time and the new boy in the team. Fwiw, it has been 2 months and less than ten matches. I still think he will come good (or at least "come useful"), but the transfer still seems like spending for the sake of it. pinkeye
My Spuds supporting mate going mental tonight about how shite Sissoko is. I honestly think it is funny. The deal of the summer as far as we are concerned. I think we would not have anything like the team spirit that we seem to have right now had Sissoko stayed. BlackandWhite
Unbelievable what a bit of hype can do. Still cant believe we got £30m for this waster. If he was never involved with the euros we maybe would have gotten 15 - 20 million for him but because he hit a few shots over the bar in the final and the media starting wanking over it he's worth 10 million extra. Incredible.
Yorkie
It really is batshit, like. Reminds me a bit of the Downing to Liverpool sale; taking into account the inflation it's a fairly similar deal. Just way, way over the odds for a pretty average winger. I imagine Sissoko ending up with a similar record in his first season, too.
Leazes_End_Mag
90m for sissoko, wiji and carroll over the years. Incredible business really.
KaKa
I feel so justified on this. He was so awfully unproductive for us despite playing so often in attacking positions. It was a crazy purchase by Spurs. Not surprised he is even looking worse for them as he is not playing very often. His performances for us were despite him being one of the first names on the team sheet, and having the luxury of featuring every game and getting that rhythm and opportunity to be in form. Even in the championship he would have been the same goofy guy. No question.
Ikon
he's just not a footballer This! YNGLEGIONNAIRE
Another example of how invaluable Rafa is to this club... the way he helped redress the balance books with his hard line stance over Sissoko's sale
