Assume Carr will still pick the players out and JFK will decide if they are suitable for the Premier League. Which is just ridiculous. It might suit Pardew though. I'm sure him and Joe will agree on what a premier player should look like. Jumpers and tacklers will be right up their street, fuck those poncey French twats which Carr seems to like so much. Dave
Which other Premier League manager would accept Joe Kinnear being brought in above him and with final say on transfers, whilst he's on holiday? None that I can think of.
Stuy_O
I do feel a tad sympathy if he's been kept out of the loop with all of this, its just outrageously humiliating for him. Not sure how he'll be with it all, wouldn't be at all surprised if he quit.

Guest bimpy474
Pardew knows how lucky he is to be manager of us, and not some pub team in Welling. He accept anything to keep his job imo.
colinmk
Pardew is just delighted to be in the premiership, he doesn't belong anywhere near it. He'd still work even if Ashley wiped his arse with his face every day.

Jack Flash
Pardy Balboa can't win really. If he walks he's lost the best job he'll ever get and been completely humiliated but if he stays he'll look even more pathetically weak than we ever thought possible. Lovely karma. As I've said before, I think the appointment is to make people feel sorry for Pardew to deflect pressure off him.
AlanSkÃrare
I think he's issued some sort of demands. His philosophy isn't working with the players being brought in. He wanted change and forgot he got the job to be a "yes man". Ashley is probably just getting ready to replace Pardew.

KaKa
Sympathy for Pardew? Ha! The one upside to this is the thought of Kinnear chewing his ass out daily.

BillClinton
Got no sympathy for Pardew, the last time we did a sneaky, pre-planed move like this, he was the beneficiary. He knew what he got into the day he replaced Hughton for BS reasons. They all deserve each other really.. We don't.

Decky
Pardew is probably delighted. His share of the blame for next seasons terrible results isn't as big anymore.

Tiresias
honestly think this may have saved pardews reputation, good season followed by poor one he can blame on luck then when he gets sacked it'll be kinnears fault, the narrative will be now how unfair it is on him... Stuy_O
It's interesting thinking about that meeting they held earlier. They didn't even mention him in that statement they released. Maybe a fallout over summer recruitment? Kinnear may have been hired as a desperate attempt to make Pardew walk, rather than them having to push him. AyeDubbleYoo
Yep, Pardew could well come away from this looking better than almost anyone else involved, which would be weird.
