BONTEMPI
That means £15m-rated Austin is to be poached from relegated Queens Park Rangers after scoring 18 goals last season, his first in the top flight, in a struggling side - although there will be haggling over the fee with the Geordies only wanting to spend £10m. Hmm well that's that fucked then.
midstoon
So when's the deadline for season ticket renewals?

Skeletor
So a done deal other than agreeing the most fundamental part. Luckily agreeing fees is our strong point........
Yorkie
It's be nice to see some English talent through the door. Certainly don't have anything against signing from abroad but I'd like to see some NUFC representation in the England setup.
Ketsbaia
No way will it be Austin AND Berahino. Most likely it'll be Austin and a cheap striker, with Cisse out. It's the defence that needs completely gutting.

Disco
Interesting it's from our "preferred media partner" mind. It's almost like it's exactly for paid for PR relationships work.
B-more Mag
England U21 international Berahino’s future at West Brom is on hold until their ownership situation is resolved, but last season's 20-goal striker would cost £20m. I'm sure we'll just whip out the checkbook.
Yorkie
I'm as cynical as anyone, but I don't see why they'd set themselves up for such a massive fall if they've instructed their 'media partners' to print a load of hogwash. What would they get out of it in this instance?

Guest
Can we pleeeease sign Moussa Sow for the front line. Why? Because Austin Saido Sow.

What would they get out of it in this instance? Wow, Mike Ashley meant every word he said and he and McClaren really are trying hard, might give them a break and buy a ticket and that tops probably not so bad, I'll have 3 of them too for me summer holidays in Benidorm. Wow, the Mirror must be reliable for NUFC these days given they've got that deal, I'll go on their website and buy their paper.

Wullie
We've got ~£40m to spend and at least £30m of it is going to go on two strikers despite us not having a single competent Premier League centre half (that's before we start talking about wide areas or central midfield)? Sounds legit. Not saying we don't need some quality up front, I'm not daft, but if they're suddenly going to start throwing money around and dispense with the previous policy, it's going to have to be a lot given the ramshackle state they've left the squad in. That would make more sense than Berahino like. One biggish money signing, one lesser one as cover.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
This all smacks of the usual derisory offer followed by "moving goalposts" shit we've become accustomed to, led by Keith Bishop. We'll get Austin if we're lucky.
Conjo
Don´t see the need for a striker or two. Maybe Austin because he has a cool name and offers something different, but get someone to create for Cisse and Perez and we will get goals. Spend some on defenders instead.
