One for Yorkie

NORWICH, Aston Villa and Newcastle are all keeping tabs on Charlton star Jordan Cousins.

The South London Press revealed last week that the all-action 21-year-old looks set to be offered a new contract by the Addicks.

Cousins has been a key figure for Charlton in the past two seasons and has taken life in the Championship in his stride.

Hull City are also admirers of the Greenwich-born midfielder.

Moar lower league please.

European minnows seek audacious double SWOOP for Newcastle's Papiss Cisse and Cheick Tiote

NEWCASTLE pair Papiss Cisse and Cheick Tiote are being lined up by Trabzonspor in a £14million double swoop.

The ambitious Turkish side have already held talks with Tiote's representatives and are now also keen on team-mate Cisse.

Cisse, Newcastle's top scorer last season with 11 goals, is valued at £6.5m by the Super Lig club who failed with a similar bid for the Senegalese striker 2013.

Cisse has 18 months left on his current Newcastle deal and has told new Tyneside boss Steve McClaren he is keen to stay.

But Trabzonspor are taking no for an answer as they seek cover for Oscar Cardozo, the Paraguay forward who is set to miss the first three months of the campaign through injury.

And they are willing to shell out £7.5m for Tiote, who hopes to be fit for the start of the season after surgery in February on a knee injury.

Tiote has two years left on his current £40,000-a-week deal at St James' Park.

But the 29-year-old is expected to leave, with Newcastle set to make a healthy profit on the £3.5m paid to McClaren's old club FC Twente in 2010.

Two years left, he signed a 5 and a half year contract in January 2012.

Charnley is even using the "i‘ll be your best friend" line now. He just doesn't understand how it isn't working.
