Noodles
Simon Bird is reporting that Austin is as good as a done deal. *trying not to get excited face*
Skeletor
Isn't Simon Bird basically the only one who isn't banned?
Varadi
Isn't Simon Bird basically the only one who isn't banned? Aye - the other journos have been ripping him on Twitter about it
Ikon
I've not seen much of Austin tbh. I know he's strong and quite tall and scores goals. How is his vision and awareness in general play? First touch good or average?
Noodles
Isn't Simon Bird basically the only one who isn't banned? Yup - daily mirror are one of the preferred media outlets. Could be summat in it. Fuck it - I'll be practically jizzing if we get Austin!
Skeletor
Stone Cold Charlie Austin is exactly the kind of English player we should be signing. A nice change from the Williamsons, Raylors and Colbacks we usually sign.

First touch good or average? Not a bad first touch but it's his natural goal scoring instinct which gets me. Scored bag loads of goals at every level he's played at consistently. A late bloomer perhaps at 25 but fuck it, a English international center forward, leading the line in the no9 shirt is more than enough to raise a smile. Ikon
Would really like Wijnaldum if we can attract him. Can play in quite many positions and has great pace! Would probably cost a lot of cash..

B-more Mag
I like it. Lots of pies. Many fingers. Except the pies will all turn out to actually be eggs, all of which are in one basket.

NUFC_Chris
I think there could be something in it is as the Mirror are the preferred media outlet, anything they say in the summer is probably worth listening to tbh.
Guest axel
Also, Austin doesnt play on his physique so if we're lucky he has atleast 8-9 good years left in him.
Ketsbaia
Those on here who hate wrestling will love it if/when we get Austin Glass smashes at his press conference. He begins with "If you want me to sign for Newcastle, gimme a hell yeah", as the first mumbled question is swiftly met with "WHAT???". His finishing statement is a simple: "I'm here to score the goals that finally take Newcastle towards a trophy and that's the bottom line cos Charlie said so." A stunning signing.
