Leazes_End_Mag
Tomorrows papers reporting that were going to bid 12m for Townsend and hope to get the deal done early next week. £10m too much. Levy will want more. Loan until the end of the season with option to buy in the summer if he impresses should be the only thing we offer.
sempuki
I used to teach Townsend at a school in Walthamstow. His brother was a right cock end. Didn't his brother die young?

r0cafella
I don't know why but I really like Townsend. That feeling will soon change if we buy him.
Hanshithispantz
I don't know why but I really like Townsend. I don't think he's a bad player, but the idea of nailing him down as one of our 2 potential wingers for the next 4-5 years is really grim. That'll be the case if we're paying £12m unless he consistently performs so poorly that he's dropped.
Dave
£12m is the new £4.5m.
midds
I think Townsend is decent tbh. I'm not saying he'll come in and transform the team and score/create a load of goals but he's decent enough out there, not sure the £12m or whatever couldn't be better spent but he'd be another option and could mean moving Sissoko and/or Wijnaldum inside a bit or behind the striker. I'm happily admit I'm looking for positives because I'm getting thoroughly sick of hating the club and the players.

WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Wouldn't at all be surprised if we sign Townsend and Perez ends up at Spurs in the summer. Some sort of shite 'gentleman's agreement'.
KaKa
I don't know why but I really like Townsend. I like him too. We just need to stop the nonsense of playing him on the right. Stick him on the left and have him prioritise beating his man to deliver a ball into the box, as opposed to having to cut in from the right to shoot all the time. It's been so long we've had a winger, I think it will be a breath of fresh air. Mitrovic really needs one to get more out of his ability too.
Altamullan
Wouldn't at all be surprised if we sign Townsend and Perez ends up at Spurs in the summer. Some sort of s**** 'gentleman's agreement'. Or a swap deal now, with a more orthodox striker also arriving this window...

Aye - can see this happening all day long. I know about 7 or 8 'proper' Spurs fans and every one, independently, has said we'd be mad to take him. Literally, not one of them rates the bloke. There's absolutely no suggestion that he can do any of that though, his entire career has been based on being a really really shit version of Robben. KaKa
Spurs are so blessed with quality attacking midfielders though. I'm sure their opinion is affected by that. We have not long ago played the likes of Gouffran and Cisse in wide positions. Think he'll be a good signing. Just the fact that it's another person in an attacking position with pace and a decent strike would alone be massive for us. Aye - can see this happening all day long. I know about 7 or 8 'proper' Spurs fans and every one, independently, has said we'd be mad to take him. Literally, not one of them rates the bloke. No reason why he wouldn't be able to. Most wide players can play on their stronger side.

Ketsbaia
Not a Townsend fan at all and he's overpriced (as if that matters anymore). He cuts in from the right but no way is Sissoko budging, so we're putting him down the left? Maybe that has potential, none of this cutting inside bollocks.
