The Managerial Merry Go Round™ - Steve Cooper sacked by Leicester

Recommended Posts

Wow

Wonder why his players aren't performing this year!

How did they perform last year then??

An unknown quantity in the league? It happens a lot. This season would suggest that it was an anomaly. His “telling

it like it is” isn’t working is it? So maybe he should listen to the “do gooders”

He also got them from league 1 to the premier league.

Too much read into comments.

Tbf, he's generally done really well with Sheff United, got them from League One to the Prem. Would argue that this year is a abnormality. He's always seemed slightly different then normal PFM's, so was surprised by the comments tbh.

I mean it’s a ridiculous thing to say and clearly what he’s doing is not working. They are going down. Last season and league 1 aren’t relevant to this season. Why he’s even saying stuff like this is beyond me.

Agree it’s not the right thing to say but can’t say it hasn’t worked so far. And to be fair they stayed up last season and did really well despite the sums of their parts and them going down isn’t really that shocking

Hindsight and all that, but they really should have stuck with Howe.

Howe wanted a break away from football, he wasn't sacked.

Yeah perfect fit but some rebuilding job for whoever’s there next season. Half the squad out of contract or loans. Most of them not the greatest but it’ll still cost money to replace them as well as spending to improve the team.

Not sure how long Bielsa plans on sticking around for at Leeds but think that’d suit him.
