Celtic must have plenty of expensive, talented players relative to their division. Perhaps they just need to keep things simple. Get Roy Keane in to shout 'just do your fucking job!' at them and they'll probably be fine.

The more I look into DoF's, the more I think Howe is right with wanting more control etc.

I think space for the role exists but it should maybe be equal with the manager.

The first team is obviously the most important for the club. But there's reserves, acadamies, etc. It's too much for one person but at the same time a DOF style role gives consistency. They can focus on the "less important" bits and big picture stuff but given the first team is the most important then the guy in charge of that should obviously have a large amount of influence.

I think that's exactly what Celtic and Rangers need to do. Complicating things with possession pervery like Russell Martin or trying to be thespy about it must be exactly what the opposition would want. All they're doing is re-establishing the fact they're the better team which everyone knows anyway.

Wilfried Nancy completes the ultimate banter reign, that was just incredible.

Slight worry O'Neill (assuming he comes back again) will stabilise it and they'll win the league.

Hopefully they go for Postecoglou mate and it all goes Shane Long.

A dark day for Hearts, Rangers and anyone else who was enjoying watching that buffoon stepping rakes seemingly every day.

Thanks for the memories Nancy, it was quite a ride.

😃

A pity he's gone but no surprise at all. The second he brought out the ToysRus tactic device against us he was doomed.

There isn't much point in having Directors of Football and layers of management and then appointing a manager for the football team. That position shouldn't and increasingly doesn't exist. Almorin was appointed as first team coach the main reason he's been sacked IMO is because at the weekend he claimed he was the manager and hadn't any intention of staying after his contract ran out. Eddie is also officially the first team coach, this summer in the vacuum at the club he was allowed to be the defacto manager which resulted in us having such a poor transfer window.

A spelling mistake or Man Utds next appointment?

I think the issue is just DoFs and managers not being on the same page. There are very few managers I’d trust to have complete control over all-things-football, just as I don’t want a DoF dictating matchday functions.

How do people come up with this kind of logic?

Would love to know how they live and what decisions they make day to day in their lives. Absolutely fascinating

So you don't rate a manager just because we've beaten them?

Why are you asking me a question when you know the answer? Sad!

Wat.

You asked me a question regarding Glasner

You already had the answer as I literally said it in the first place.

Just a bit pathetic really, all the best mate.

I don't rate him at all now. We werent at our best and still got a clean sheet. He's not won in 7 games.

He's also got a small, injury hit squad, trying to guide them through their first European campaign mind. They looked knackered again yesterday.
