Well yes, that is easy to look at now. When they finished 3rd and won the LC did you think they'd regress in 2023/24? And then again in 2024/25?

I hatewatch them a lot and I seem to remember thinking in 22/23 that they were in a stronger position than they deserved to be, they were hugely reliant on Rashford being on a scoring streak and he was propelling them to wins because he was in a pre-contract purple patch.

Which is another example of where xG falls over, it doesn’t take into account emotional factors such as player motivation etc.

Rashford couldn’t stop scoring, banged in 17 goals, got a new £325,000 a week contract, went off the boil and scored 7 the following season.

Froggy will probably add some accuracy but that’s the nuts and bolts of it.

And for the record, I don’t hate stats.

I hate the over focus on predictive stats by amateur stat nonces presenting shoulda, woulda, coulda arguments about a game that’s played by real people, not robots.

Any guesses on who's next?

Nuno seems precarious and a loss against Forest sees him get the bullet IMO.

Slot making a total arse of the big spending season at the dippers.

Parker could go at any time really.

Cockney Rhyming Slang Name Tommy Frank at Spurs probably a couple of bad results from the tin tack.

Palace manager seemingly raging at their board and not signed a new deal.

Leicester and West Brom play tonight and they're both having a shitter of a season, could also see that Southampton guy potted soon.

2026 been a right laugh so far. Long may it continue.

They're not all gonna lose their jobs!

Gvardiol out with a broken leg. Watch the spitting danger sign two 75m replacements because he's so good.

Is this the second time I’ve watched a player be walked off the pitch in obvious discomfort on a broken bone?

Are stretchers out of fashion these days?

I wonder if they would consider someone like Mark Robins, he always seems to do well at clubs then gets fucked over, it'll be interesting to see what he could do at a big club.

Every chance the loser of Leicester v West Brom could give us a final sacking of the day before midnight

Leicester protest planned, wouldn't be surprised if he went either way.

Ryan Mason is another example of someone getting a career in coaching and management simply because they’ve played the game. Never seen anything from him to suggest he’ll make a decent manager yet he’s still employed at a Championship club.

No surprise the options of managers is on the knees at the moment, need to start investing in coaching and management as a route into the sport rather than just over promoting ex-players.

To be fair, it won’t be long until punditry is replaced by YouTubers and TikTokers like Goldbridge, so this might be the prime of punditry.

Martin will be supported by Shaun Maloney and Mark Fotheringham as assistants, as well as Stephen McManus, who will join our existing coaches, Gavin Strachan, Stevie Woods and Greg Wallace to oversee first-team matters.

Would love to see Man United take Emery. That job is a poisoned chalice, don’t think it

would work out at all and it would also hugely weaken Villa.

Cannot see it like.

Said before almorin thry should have went all put for emery and took martinez with him. They'd be flying. Still hold that opinion (maybe too late for martinez) but thankfully they are too stupid to do something like that.

This popped up on my Insta algorithm today. Never seen it before but had me chuckling.

Greggs insta is a right hoot. Him uploading videos of healthy recipes followed by hundreds of comments of him being called a sex deviant.

The options aren't great for them. Think it's too big for Glasner. Currently on a woeful run of form. They went on a bad run at the start of last season too. Think he's struggle to step up from a smaller club like Frank has.

Because we started going backwards. Doesn't erase what he achieved in his first two seasons.

Aye Ten Haag had you lot finishing 8th, your worst finish since the PL was formed. I can't imagine any other Man Utd manager finishing lower than that m

Since May 2013, we've had Pardew, Carver, McClaren, Benitez, Bruce and Howe (6)

They've had Moyes, Van Gaal, Mourinho,Solskjaer, Rangnick, Ten Haag and Amorin (7)

Carver was interim too, he shouldn't even count.
