Does seem a bit silly that it's ok for players to do it and just get banned for a few days but if a manager (former player) does it to a player then it gets the reaction it's getting.

Not that I'm defending him as I'd love nothing more for him to get sacked for this and never be seen again.

It doesnt, but why does a player push a farkin opposing manager like that? Why is that not a straight red?

Pardew was stopping him getting to the ball. He got booked.

Steve Bruce on Pardew headbutt on 5 Live: 'It's not like Alan'

Steve, it is 'like Alan'

To be fair to Pat Butcher, on his previous form he's more likely to fuck your wife or call you a cunt than nut you.

FA chairman Greg Dyke, speaking to BBC Sport in Zurich, believes the Alan Pardew headbutt incident earlier today during Newcastle United's game against Hull City is 'serious' and the FA 'will investigate'.

He says: "Well I've only just seen the clip and clearly it looks serious and we will investigate it but I can't really say anything else at this stage."

What a surprise, the FA burst into action when someone connected to Newcastle United does something wrong.

Really ?. I mean really. You really think it's because it's us and not what Pardew did.......really ?

No. As I said he has done wrong and will no doubt get a heavy punishment. The FA do fuck all when NUFC have been wronged. See Remy getting banned and the Norwich player's ban been overturned. See the terrible foul by the Wigan player on Haidara and the FA saying they can't do anything about it.

Robbie Savage, BBC Radio 5 live

"I had very passionate managers like Martin O'Neill and Mark Hughes while I was a player but nothing like this. From now to the end of the season he should get a complete ban from the home and away games. Although with Newcastle out of all cup competitions and probably safe in the league, is that really even punishment?"

It's a bit rich coming from Savage.

Got a lot of time for Pardew. Regardless of what people think, he is a top manager. One of the best I've worked with.

Who cares what that nutter has to say about it?

Now it's time for FA to man up and right the wrongs by not banning Pardew  :frantic:

The problem is, he's doing a perfect job from Ashleys view point.

Comfortably 8th in the league.

Not in a Europa league place,

Out of both cups,

No real danger of finishing any lower than 9th-10th.

Complicit with all player sales and lack of investment.

Uses every press conference/interview to lower expectations.

Plus, when has Ashley ever given a shit about PR. If Pardew is banned for the rest of this season, so what? From Ashley's point of view it's job done. No Europa league, no relegation.

It was a disgraceful reaction from a pretty nasty and slimy person. Once again we are the joke of the nation and once again we have been embarrassed. The manager of Newcastle United cannot be behaving like that in any context, it is an absolute disgrace. He doesn't deserve to lose his job over it, however. He needs a huge ban and fine though and warned any future indiscipline will result in his dismissal.
