He can be a cheapskate snide bitch in the world of business but it doesn’t translate to football. We saw Ashley cut every corner he could and look what happened to us. Ratcliffe uses the same playbook, he’s far too arrogant to consider whether he’s the problem. With the lack of extra games you should absolutely be in Europa League as a minimum but I just wonder about the mentality at the club nowadays It’s laughs, because fuck them, but from an objective POV it’s almost offensive how shoddily they’re run. And doubly offensive that they can be as mediocre as they are and will never suffer any consequences for it. Will just keep appointing the wrong people, buying overpriced slop, etc.
Mike
Nothing another 200 million spent in the summer won't fix. Execute a few more tea ladies to cover the costs.

I think Carrick might have something about him, and it's a good opportunity for them to explore that. Going to be interesting to see how he gets on. Think he may do surprisingly well with the calibre of players they have. Carrick is a lot more slow build and possession based stuff compared to Ole, isn’t he? I remember Ole being great at counter attacking against better sides. But I might be misremembering. They’ve had a fair few managers in recent times! I'd say that's some consequences there. They aren't fighting for titles etc any time soon.

It’s only the Carabao Cup, Grimsby deserved it. It’s not that deep. It’s only a 15th place finish, our worse on record. It’s not that deep. It’s only a record 9 home defeats. It’s not that deep. It’s only sacking support and catering staff. It’s not that deep. It’s only one leak in the stadium roof. It’s not that deep. It’s only a record 17 league defeats. It’s not that deep. It’s only 15 straight league away games without a clean sheet. It’s not that deep. It’s only the first time since 1982 we were knocked out both domestic cups in the first attempt. It’s not that deep. It’s only staff meals cancelled. It’s not that deep. It’s only raising ticket prices during our worst moments. It’s not that deep. It’s only signing Dan Ashworth and immediately sacking him, costing millions. It’s not that deep.

Dr.Spaceman
That gap from Villa to Arsenal... Why anyone below Arsenal in that list wants part of a Euro Superleague is beyond me. They'll be consistently missing out on the top players required to compete at that level, scraping draws every 3 or 4 games against the big sides if the referee on the night allows them to do so.
