Disco
Not sure why anyone would be surprised at him being on £40k, that's probably the basic rate for a Premier League player these days. Thought it'd be more with him being a freebie. Sickening.

The College Dropout
Its not nonsense. Local lads an British players got a rougher ride. Jacky Colback is bollocks though. Awful. But so was Anita. Only one is here and it makes me sad. Compared to who? Thauvin? Cabella? Ben Arfa? Marveux? Mbiwa? Jonas? Anita you mentioned. ...and Ryan Taylor got less grief. Mbiwa aye. Janmaat. I don't want to defend Colback. He's shit.
The College Dropout
40k ffs. He'll go out on loans where we pay half his wages until his contract finishes.
samptime29
I thought people were a little harsh on him at times in the Premier League. He had the odd decent game. He was below-par player but not a disgrace. Last season though. He was very poor in the Championship tbf. Turbo shit. He's not good enough and needs to leave but I don't hate him. KaKa
Some decent games for us? Really? Never seen one. He is always painful to watch. Some passable games perhaps, where he didn't cost us, but never decent. No!
ponsaelius
The thing with him is, I've always thought he was shit, but in his first season he somehow managed to score 4 goals. I went back and watched them, as I was so confused by this discovery. One was a hit and hope from distance against Burnley, but the other 3 involved him bursting into the box to score against Everton, Spurs and Stoke. As shit as he was, he actually got himself into the box to score goals. It's physically impossible to imagine him doing that now.

KaKa
I've never watched a game where he featured and felt he was an asset for us. Never. Instead I clench my teeth everytime he is near the ball, hoping he doesn't do something ridiculous.

Paully
40k? Forty? We would have paid him a decent signing-on fee too plus factor in bonuses and he's probably stolen around £8 million off us!
Cronky
Can someone paste the story from the mail please? Newcastle United midfielder Jack Colback set to leave after training ground row with boss Rafa Benitez Jack Colback has almost certainly played his last game for Newcastle United The former Sunderland midfielder refused to take part in a training session Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez has since told the player to train alone Jack Colback has almost certainly played his last game for Newcastle United after a training ground row which has seen him banished from the first-team set-up. Sportsmail understands that the former Sunderland midfielder was already training away from the main group earlier this week when, after one player picked up a knock, he was called to join in. Colback, however, is thought to have refused to take part and this has infuriated manager Rafa Benitez, who has since told the player to train alone. The 27-year-old reported to the club’s training ground on Friday afternoon - after the senior session had finished - and was forced to work by himself. Colback will be left out of Benitez's 25-man Premier League squad and the Magpies have already offered him to other clubs, although his £40,000-per-week wages are thought to be a stumbling block. Colback began his career with the Black Cats, but joined Newcastle on a free transfer in 2014 and has since played 102 games for the club This won't go down well, but anyway........... Rafa doesn't have the greatest reputation when it comes to tact and sensitivity when dealing with players. Whatever your opinion of Colback's ability, it does look like he was humiliated here. With all due respect Cronky but that is a load of bollocks. Colback is a fraud and an impostor hiding behind his heritage and his teammates, humiliating the team and the club by doing nothing of note on the pitch apart from lagging behind the opposition tugging at their shirts and falling over. He has no personality or ability to speak of and Rafa has sussed him out. On top of that, if it's true that he's refused to train because he didn't figure in Rafa's plans then it only confirms what we've always known...that he's a coward.
