What do you mean I will be starting on the bench?

The stats do tell you that his conversion rate and shot accuracy is surprisingly impressive, on par with the top goalscorers in Europe. He just doesn't score that much because he's on a team where he's not a full-time starter and doesn't get the ball as much when he's on the pitch.

It remains questionable of course whether he can maintain that rate over more minutes, but I can see why scouts would be impressed.

Also worth noting that his stats have improved every year for the past five.

Seems explosive in terms of speed and jumping. I'm happy with this as we are adding bodies finally.

Yeah, the elite athleticism is what's impressing me so far. Been so long since we've had a striker that isn't small/weak/slow

For those of you criticising his record, the same could have been said of Diego Costa a couple of years ago and Craig Bellamy when we signed him. Bellamy didn't score many goals for us but what he added to the team was immense. If Riviere has pace and power then he will add a hell of a lot more to the side than Cisse and Shola did last season. If (and I know it's a big if) we can get another striker in then we will hopefully have De Jong, Cabella, Riviere and another who are all capable of chipping in with a few goals.

I would add Hatem to that list but it seems pretty unlikely given the situation with The King, which is such a shame when you think of what he could do with some of these attacking players we're bringing in at the moment.

For sure.. Hatem has to be replaced if we are going to sell him though. Coventry fans weren't particularly partial to Bellars.

Would be interesting if player stats were divided into stats under each manager they worked with. Would reflect the ability of the manager to get performances out of certain players, and also the style of play where the player fits in best
