Guest neesy111
I do like how people say as a transaction didn't happen means they are not guilty. It's all about intent.

AyeDubbleYoo
I do like how people say as a transaction didn't happen means they are not guilty. It's all about intent. It's indefensible... why would a manager need to take £50k from an agency? How could that benefit his club in any way?

Yorkie
The Telegraph is incredible btw. This whole thing has the potential to cause huge ripples. Aye, the press have always had a huge influence - not least with the England set-up - but bringing down the England manager in 24 hours? That's on another level. And for them to have an entire portfolio, with other significant figures and names exposed doing indefensible deals, it's a serious advance in banging the gong on corruption. Especially after all the FIFA business in the last 18 months.
Deuce
Can't get over the reaction to all of this. Allardyce is actually being made out to be a victim in all of this, by all of these ex-pros and managers. Incredible stuff. Course he is. They're all part of that good ol' boys club of English football.
madras
Allardyce shouldn't have said "Entrapment won this time", "My ego lost this time" would have been closer to the truth.

wyn davies
so now they go after those in the lower leagues instead of concentrating on the big names from the past and present, lower leagues are easy meat.

Figures 1-0 Football
Think there will be a few more heads rolling as the details begin to emerge. No way Rafa is involved in any of this, so I suppose we can sit back and watch.
Thomson Mouse
Anyone interested in any of this needs to read The Secret Footballers last book, he mentions a lot of this stuff and more. This won't go much further as it has the potential to fuck up the PL 'brand'

Paully
This is what happened - SBR wanted Boumsong on a free, but he went to Rangers. Then a few months later Souness signed Boumsong from Rangers for around £8m and Willie McKay was the agent. Allardyce had nothing to do with it, as Boumsong was sold when Roeder was our manager. Souness was good mates with the Rangers owner and Rangers really needed the money so it was dodgy on that score straight away. Actually wasn't Souness a Rangers shareholder at the time? I'm sure he was Murray's best man! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1209341/Graeme-Souness-salutes-Sir-David-Murray-Rangers-great-quits-Ibrox-hot-seat.html
