Toon No9
Would rather sign his countryman Quincy Promes instead!
nortoon
Thought he was the most talented player we've signed since Ben Arfa. Just absolutely no heart. I seem to remember in the derby Catts was on a yellow and Gini still just completely avoided him and lost the midfield battle so that his legs were safely wrapped for his Liverpool move. Would be perfect as the player behind the striker in a Rafa system, but I still don't want him here.
Stottie
He has played a lot deeper since signing for Liverpool hasn't he? His first season there was more AM but now he's just a ball winning/recycling CM, maybe to keep Salah and the fullbacks higher up the pitch. He still creates as much as Henderson, who sees more of the ball and makes many more passes, presumably as the go-to player who collects from the defence. Some numbers you can play with, with Shelvey and Diame in for comparison. http://www2.squawka.com/comparison-matrix#premier_league/2017/2018/jordan_henderson/819/819/86/0/p|premier_league/2017/2018/jonjo_shelvey/819/819/523/39/p|premier_league/2017/2018/mohamed_diam%C3%A9/819/819/922/39/p|premier_league/2016/2017/georginio_wijnaldum/819/641/7968/36/p|premier_league/2017/2018/georginio_wijnaldum/819/819/7968/36/p#total_score/key_passes/chances_created/assists/pass_completion/avg_pass_length/goals_scored/total_duels_%/fouls_committed/fouls_suffered/total_passes/total_forward_passes#total Playing bread and butter CM in this way, and not just "ghost in and score but otherwise invisible" AM, suggests he is much more useful that he looked for us. For us, I think the goals he scored came from very few shots, famously all four in that Norwich game, so that level of production is unlikely to be repeated. sempuki
I guess they still owe us part of his fee?
Minhosa
No way I'd want him back tbh. Also, funny how Klopp said he couldn't believe how deep he was played at NUFC when he signed him for LFC and he's contributed the sum total of fuck all to them in an attacking sense and now plays even deeper for them than he did for us. Would MUCH prefer to look elsewhere.

mrmojorisin75
i've no time for him now but for a period watching him make a late run and get on the end of something was a joy to behold
Bimpy474
Wouldn't even have him on a free. While i think the story is bollocks, i wouldn't cut my nose off to spite my face. He would improve us under Rafa, so i certainly would take him back.

KaKa
Amazing that people that don't want Townshend back want this clown to return. How can people have forgotten how invisible he was for us? ! A complete nothing player. Has done nothing at Liverpool despite all the talent around him and a manager that gives you all the freedom in the world. Sorry, this guy is terrible. Would have Jonas back ahead of him.
Dr.Spaceman
I would 100% have him back. Think he could be great under Rafa.

Mole_Toonfan
Would have him back in a heartbeat tbh. He's genuine class, he may go missing a few times, but with Rafa at the helm i'm sure he'd be more involved. Klopp couldn't so i'd have my doubts. Problem with him is he's best at making runs from midfield to score. He doesn't really put his foot on the ball and set the tempo which means he disappears a lot by nature. KaKa
If he isn't scoring he isn't doing anything else. Nothing at all. Really dislike his game so much. Was a tremendous achievement shipping him to Liverpool for the money we did. Bigger scam than the Sissoko deal perhaps.
STM
I have no morals whatsoever, so it's a yes from me. It's all hyper bollocks though.
Doctor Zaius
If he's being shipped out of Liverpool he's hardly been great for them has he. Us and a Turkish graveyard club the only ones interested? Says all you need to know. He was shite here and obviously hasn't pulled up any tree's for Liverpool. No thanks.
