Figures 1-0 Football
We look ridiculously more solid with him in the side. An excellent professional and comes across as a really decent guy too One of our very likeable players.

Hanshithispantz
Only conceded due to a keeping howler and a Zidane volley too, as opposed to every single cross that came into the box.
mozy
It's pretty clear now he's our best defender and with it our most important player. Praying he stays fit in reality as without him we'll be down.
Bimpy474
A fecking linchpin this lad like.
Guest Howaythetoon
I actually think he's a very good defender now and is easily our best and most important player. Out of all of them its him and Merino who look a bit more than just Premier League quality.
healthyaddiction
He's also the only vocal organiser we have in our entire back line.
The College Dropout
It’s to the point if he has a big injury we are 100% down. Need the other lads to step up.
r0cafella
It’s hard to think this time last season he was getting slaughtered on here
STM
It’s hard to think this time last season he was getting slaughtered on here It's astonishing how a player can rise to the challenge. Lascelles is far more suited than Clark and Lejeune too. In a structured/defensive set up, you need penalty box defenders like Lascelles. It's not some lost art, it's a necessity for teams in the bottom half.
Anderson
That's an unbelievable stat like.
Shearergol
That's an unbelievable stat like. Gouffran. Just saying.
healthyaddiction
It’s hard to think this time last season he was getting slaughtered on here We didn't know he was playing with an injury. It clearly was affecting his performances.

It clearly was affecting his performances. That’s the point we have a habit of jumping to conclusions when we lack a lot of information to make any sort of sound judgment. Thrown in some post match emotion and this place becomes a horror show.
Guest
Will be a good foil for Luiz.
nufcjb
He's probably in Rafa's ears most of the time telling him who probably deserves to be in the side and so on. Not that Rafa needs it but obviously his leadership qualities has been a key factor and a reason why Rafa chose him to be captain at such a young age. All he needs is a top quality partner alongside him and we'd probably have less worries in the central position. Wonder how would Mbemba do now back in central defence with him seeing Clarke and Lejeune have been off form and shit respectively.
Gallowgate Toon
Won some huge headers at the end. Love him.
Bimpy474
Superb, hope the limping was cramp and not anything else.

Dave
I'm worried tbh, he didn't look his normal self all game to me. Didn't look to be moving freely.
Jesse Pinkman
Go Lejuene Clarke v City and give Lascelles a rest. We will lose anyway.
The College Dropout
Go Lejuene Clarke v City and give Lascelles a rest. We will lose anyway. We don’t need to get thumped. But we need Lascelles fit as possible. Might be the most sensible move if he’s carrying major knocks.
Kanji
I'm worried tbh, he didn't look his normal self all game to me. Didn't look to be moving freely. Honestly didn’t see any of that minus the limping at end. He seemed to be all over the place and running out and charging shit down. Hopefully he’s okay. Ketsbaia
We finally concede 2 with Lascelles playing, yet it's the game we win. Mad.
Hanshithispantz
2nd time we've conceded 2 with him playing, never more than 2 though (which we were doing pretty much every week without him). First was another mistake that was completely out of his hands too.
