I think long term he's not the answer, but his attitude is spot on and he plays positively, you can't help but like him.

He was going outside a lot more tonight which was a big change and really helped us.  Maybe not the most talented winger we've had but his work rate and heart make up for it.

Ran himself into the ground and played fantastic again - no way he could have completed the full 90 and tbh I still don't think he looks fully match fit yet, but the sharpness is definitely coming back.

I'm struggling to think of many times since the new year that I'd play Perez from the start. (More a reflection on the club than the player)

I was one of those who likened him to Obertan, based on his debut and what I'd seen at Spurs/England. Must admit though, he looks a lot better in our team - our best attacking threat. Very impressed

I envisage Rafa using him in the Yossi Benayoun role if he's here next year. Start him on the wing and giving him the flexibility to float behind the main striker. If he's as effective as Benayoun was for Liverpool between 2007 and 2010, I'll be satisfied.

You can't fault his work rate.  He tracks back a lot, whilst being pretty threatening going forward.  Considering how long he had playing for the stiffs at Spurs and the injury he got when he first arrived, he looks in good shape.  He was still tearing up and down, just before he came off. 

 

Not the most talented and he makes some bad decisions.  But he seems to care.  Which makes a refreshing change.

Played really well, he's got so much confidence in himself and his ability to beat a man, plus he can put a good ball into the box.  Far better than I thought he was before we bought him.
